I love the books. The movies are all right, but they cut out too much

I thought the first two movies were fairly close to the books, but the third one strays a bit too much. I haven't seen the fourth one yet. I really enjoy the books, and I like the movies (although I agree the books are better) but I've never gone to the theatre to watch them. For one reason or another I never catch them while they're playing, I wait for them to come out on DVD. As an aspiring writer, I think the way J.K. Rowling weaves the details of the whole story together is fascinating. The most insignificant detail in one book turns into a major component of the next. I would love to learn how to do that!

The fourth movie was good and it was long. They cut out more in this movie than in the previous ones.

I think people who get mad at the movies (not saying its you) are expecting way too much. Of course they are going to have to leave stuff out, otherwise the movies would be hours long. I think you should keep the books and movies separate, I know many people who love the movies but havent read the books, so there's a completely different market for the movies.

I completely understand why they have to cut things out and I really do try to keep them seperate. I just would like to see a little more of some things. I was disappointed in the Quiddich (sp?) match as I think they could have done more with that whole thing, but the movie was long enough as it was.

I would read the books before watching the movies. Especially the last couple of movies, because they cut out a lot of the details.

My sister did this to me. She was driving me crazy, so I finally just got the first two books from the library. Read them in 2 days.

youll get disappointed by the movies of harry potter if u had read the book first. if they(producers) dont cut out the scenes then will be in the movie house for like a whole day. so just try and understand them. ^_^
