I am very keen on traveling and had my first flight in 1987 and I am still here. In January 2009 I will be going on a 12 hour flight to Cape Town. I like to get a window seat and then see the view on take off and landing. Flying is really safe because pilots are well trained and planes are regularly checked. Plane crashes are really rare. When I began flying I had ear pain on landing and then ten years later a friend gave me a pair of ear planes. These stopped all pain for me. Good luck with flying in the future and remember you will soon get more used to the plane's noises.
