Years resolutions? I do that is why I seldom make any. How often have you actually kept a resolution? And what was it for?

I sometimes resolve to be a better husband or father, but I try not to make public declarations about specific goals.

I don't make resolutions anymore either. As they don't aways pan out the way I've hoped for.... but if someone has the determination based on how important it is to them then GOOD FOR THEM if they can accomplish it.

Every year I write down my New Year's Resolutions and every year I start out strong and do great for a few months then I weaken, then I quit and it is usually about weight loss so every year I am yo-yoing because for me it is hard to keep them so maybe this year I shouldn't make that resolution but I have been thinking about it and saying I am starting a diet on the 8th of January...If I keep it well..that is another story.

Happy New year. My new year resolution is to get down on weight. I hope that I will be able to keep it.

I usually make a resolution to lose weight. I succeed at it most of the time but end up gaining some of it back throughout the year.

I have made quite a few but have never been able to keep them for more than a few days, then they are history.. I would love to make some really good ones and keep them but I can't..

I don't make them because I know I will not keep them. Simple as that.

Yes, which is probably why I've stopped making New Year's resolutions. It seems that after a month or so, I somehow forget my resolution, or I simply to think about it, or something like that.

I never make resolutions/ promises that way. I don't want to set myself up for people to point fingers at me when something happens that I am unable to stick by it. Life happens and somethings you can't prevent.
