Do you have to work on New Year's Day?

What kind of work do you do? Do you have to work on holidays like Christmas and New Years' Day? I have to work tomorrow morning. I work from home in a call center. I work a lot of holidays but not on Christmas because that is the one day of the year that the company is closed.

No, when I used to work then also 1st of January used to be a holiday. Well, I like to work on new year on mylot as I am doing right now. If the company is closed on christmas then it must be closed on New years also right?

No. It only closes on Christmas Eve in the late evening and all day on Christmas day. Otherwise it is open 24 hours a day every day of the year.

I'm one of the lucky ones, who don't have to work tomorrow on New Year's Day. I'm a student and I only really work during the summer, as that's the time that I can really afford to give a lot of energy and time on work.

I work construction and it is optional whether or not we want to work, at the moment we are close to the opening of the conference center that we are doing so we have chose to work half the day.

I work as a teacher and do not have to work on new year's day. It is a holiday for all the students and teachers. Usually we have a rest for at least four days. I am happy for that. Very soon in two months, we will enjoy our New Year's Day. Enjoy your life and work, capirani.

I don't have to work on New Year's Day. I lucked out and the place i work with always closes for the week between Christmas and New Years - closing early on Christmas even and usually reopening the Monday after new years if new years day falls on a Wednesday or Thursday.
