DO you remember years ago when you'd always see yardsales? I know I always saw people selling stuff right in their own front yards but do they do this anymore? Do you ever do it?

My mom and I would always go around the neighborhoods years ago and buy things from yardsales. A lot of people still do this in the spring and summer time usually on the weekends. I haven't been to one in a very long time. My neighborhood even has this specific weekend where everyone has a yardsale together and everyone comes out to check out every one elses stuff!

I'd love my neighbourhood to start up something like that!

We have yard sales at least once a year if not more. I always find stuff lying around the house that i no longer want. Also, my sons constantly growing out of clothes, socks and shoes so I always have stuff to sell. I haven't went myself garage sale shopping because I never really have time. But this summer I need to make time to go. You never know what you can find. There's always lots of garage sales in the town i live.

In my area, yard sales are still very much popular. Starting in the spring they pop up everywhere, and every neighborhood has them by the dozens. I'm planning on having one this coming spring, and have a lot of useful things for it. It's a super way to make a little extra cash from stuff you no longer use, or want. I still like going to yard sales, you can find some pretty neat stuff there! Happy New Year Bensmom.

We have held a couple of yard or tag sales as they are called in our area. In the warmer months they are plentiful. I love going to these sales to search for that elusive bargain or prize.

Years ago? How about last summer and every summer for the past 50 years!!! I have them myself when I was in a house. Now in an apt, I don't have the opportunity, but I do make the usual run of the popular areas for yard sales in my town. The people with money have them and I get great deals on expensive stuff! I am a yard saler - I used to have 3 every summer - May, July and September. My daughter would bring her things over and it was a good size one and we'd make $200 to $300 each. Amazing what you can sell! Put a price on it nad someone will buy it!

wow thats a lot to earn just from your own front yard! Thats amazing! I'm seriously thinking about doing one. I was going to go to a car boot sale, you'd see them a lot more here in Ireland than you would with a yardsale. You got me thinking now tho! Happy New Year!

I have noticed that yard sales usually happen in spring or fall. I still see them from time to time. I saw an estate sale two weeks ago in our neighborhood. We went there and bought some stuff at a very good price. My husband usually haggles for 40-50 percent off. Usually they allow to reduce it at that price. I like estate sales better than garage sales.

I used to always have yard sales. They're the best. I love going to them also. But since i had my daughter who's nearly 6, i haven't had one. I just donate all the stuff we don't need anymore to op shops. I should have a yard sale again in a few months. You get to meet alot of great people, and make heaps of money. They're so much fun.

We typically have one yard sale per year, around September. This is to get rid of all the things we've accumulated during the summer.

We had a garage sale last year, and we're going to have another one this year. The garage is a lot cleaner this year than it was last year. So now, we're a little ahead this time. That'll help.
