Gas took a 20 cent hike today. Did your gas prices go up?

I was really dismayed when I drove into town today to see that our gas prices jumped 20 cents overnight. We were just getting a little bit of relief from the higher prices and WHAM... they hike them up again. Did your gas jumped in price today?

Yes,it did. I was dismayed,as well, but that gave me a reason to get philosophycal about human nature. To be exact,we get used to good things so fast, this past summer gas pumps had us at $4 a gallon and now that it's about 1.80(in my area),we scream "Outrageous!" lol

That is true. We saw prices rise to $5 a gallon here in the summer and we are currently at 1.66 a gallon up from 1.43 a gallon yesterday. But I am still screaming outrageous that it went up almost 25 cents overnight.

Last Saturday, I filled up our car at $1.36 a gallon. I had to fill up this morning, and it was $1.83 a gallon. I think it sucks in that in a span of a week, it went up $0.50. I hope it goes back down.

Fortunately most of driving I do is for work, and my job pays towards mileage. As long as we don't drive our other vehicle too much, we'll be fine.

I agree. I think it is ridiculous how quickly the price will go up and how long it takes for it to come back down again. I topped off my tank today and hope that I can make it last for a while.

Nope. Gas prices still around $1.41 for regular here. Take awhile for us to see an increase though. What part of the US do you live in?

My mother and I went shopping about 45 minutes from where we live and gas was about $1.44 or so. So, whenever my partner and I went shopping today I had expected gas to be that price but found out it was not about $1.69 or so at some gas stations and I couldn't believe it had gone back up in such a short amount of time. I just hope it stays under $2. I'm not interested in paying $4 for gas anymore.

Yes, it went up here, too, by about ten cents.
