Looking for a Laptop Battery...Any suggestions???

I recently bought a Gateway laptop & my brother plans on buying me a spare battery for it. Only problem, he has been unable to find one anywhere. He even contacted Gateway & seems to be getting the runaround. Do any of you have any suggestions on how I might go about finding a battery for my computer. eBay has plenty of batteries but none seem to match this one. I have the Model# & Part# for the battery but nobody he contacted seems to be able to match them up with a usable battery. I'm open to suggestions & willing to do the legwork myself!!! OK, any suggestions???

Go to this website and ask, www.geekstogo.com. Go into the forums. They have always been a HUGE help to me. When they help me, I make a small donation, too, as I would have to pay more for a pro to come to my house.

I had checked Amazon & Walmart. I finally found it on eBay!!!

Hi Ladymarissa. i was going to suggest Ebay as it is a popular source to find all sorts of items there. But it seems that you have already tried unsuccessfully there.

I went back to eBay & finally found my battery there. Just received it & still have to make sure it is the right one for my laptop. It had the right model# & Part# so it should be correct!!!

Hi ladyM it will be interesting to see what other mylotters have to say about this as I have wanted to get a spare battery for my laptop and haven't known where to look for a reasonable priced one..hugs littleowl

I did finally find my battery on eBay. I had searched eBay 3 or 4 times before & it wasn't there....then POOF there it was. It even had free shipping. I bought 2 of them & my brother bought 1 for my upcoming birthday. So I do believe my batteries will outlast my laptop.
