My friends use to laugh at me because I use to sleep with covers over my head or almost at my neck.I told them this was a carryover from my years when I was afraid of the monsters in the dark.My philosophy here being if I dont see them, they couldnt trouble me. Do you sleep with covers and if so how do you sleep with it .Is it over your head like me or to your neck or maybe at your waist ?Also what type of covers do you use ,blankets or thin polyester type or maybe none at all? Please explain your answer as well.

I will use anything to cover with Ronny. I cover because of those things that we call mosquito's because when the destroyer has finish burning during the night laziness take over. Sometimes even a towel will use if it is the one nearby me on the bed lol.

I usually use anything to cover too because of those very annoying insects. The destroyers though usually makes me drowsy and even more eager to sleep

I normally sleep with the blankets up to my neck. I got to have my heavy comforters, especially during the cold seasons. I do the same during the summer months, I just sleep with my feet sticking out since it helps me sleep better. Sleeping under the blankets is actually a good idea if your house has gas heating. When we lived on a Naval base, a family passed away because the dad went nuts and used the car exhaust to do it. The mom made it because she slept under the blankets.

I sleep with at the very least a thin sheet on. I really don't like the dark and my thoughts are if I am covered I am not seen. I don't have the sheet over my head or even almost up to my neck. So go figure. If someone came into my room they would know a person is in the bed. I just feel more secure that way.

Interesting philosophy but mine is different I like to think that if I am covered then I wont be seen ,weird but I suppose we all have our "little things " when it comes to cover .Thanks for responding

hey ronnyb! I do the same thing i also think that the blanket is some sort of force field that protects me from those monsters Aside from protecting me from monsters, I feel cold easily that is why I always have a blanket. There are days when I use a thin cotton sheet but sometimes I use a thick comforter as well

I normally sleep with some type of blanket on me. Mine never go past my shoulders though. My son will and my brother used to sleep with the blanket OVER their heads too. It makes me laugh too.

I sleep with the covers. It's just a habit I've had over the years, even when it's warm out. I just have to have a blanket on me.

Yes I sleep with a blanket. Even in the summer. As does my hubby. We used to fight over one blanket. Each thought the other was a blanket piggy. Now we have solved the problem. We each have our own blanket. I am just more comfy covered in bed.

As a child I used to sleep with the covers over my head too. My sister used to tell us stories about the toys coming to life and about monsters in the cupboard and under the bed......scarey! Like you I believed if I couldn't see them they couldn't see me. I still tend to sleep with the cover up to my neck and if I'm cold over my head! I use a Duvet both summer and winter! It makes bed-making easier and I find it warmer than blankets!

i only sleep under the covers because i want to avoid the lights. At times when my parents come into my room to find something, they'd just switch on the lights (*screams* RUDE). But yeah. I'd simply use the covers to cover my head. other than that, the covers will go all the way up to my chest under my arm pits. =) i feel safer this way & definitely warmer.

I need to have a blanket over me, from neck to toes when I sleep. Even if the weather is hot, I still cover myself and have the air-conditioner on. I guess I would feel uncomfortable without the covers.

i always sleep witht the covers on becuase i feel more comfortable and warm, especially during the winter time. I usually have it up to my neck as it keeps my whole body cpovered. I use blankets as my sheet. Im not sure why your friends would laugh at you over something silly like that as to me that seems perfectly normal. Theres nothing wrong with what you do anyway, just dont worry about it :)

I always sleep with covers up to my neck. For some reason I just feel odd without them. Even when it is warm in my bedroom I still feel the need to have the covers up to my neck. I guess it's kind of like a shiled. I can't stand to have my feet uncovered. I was always afraid as a child that someone would grab them while I was sleeping. I know the covers can't stop that but just offers some sort of security.

I have to have some kind of cover. On my bed, I have sheets, a blanket and a down comforter. No matter how hot it is, I still have to be covered. I can not cover my face though. I keep my house cool so I can do this comfortably!

I cannot sleep without cover over me. In the winter I have a sheet, quilt, comforter and sometimes another blanket. I am really cold in the winter. In the summer I have to at least have a sheet over me, even it is very hot with no air conditioning. I cannot sleep with no cover over me. Now, my daughter covers her entire head up with all the same cover that I use.

I have a thick duvet up to my chin.Nothing to do with monsters just like the feel of it,when we were kids we used to have blankets with the silk edging and that used to feel so nice,It is far to cold here for a thin blanket it is freezing at the moment had our first snow fall of the winter,it has been so cold we leave the heating on low all night as well. You talking about when you were a kids reminds me of my Mum always had cotton sheets and she used to iron them and they were lovely getting into all nice and fresh and in the winter we had flanelete sheets and they were so soft and warm we had a hot water bottle as we did not have central heating. So I only buy cotton sheets and duvet covers for all of us,I did try nylon but they were horrible and gave up with them ,I thought I would give them ago as they were much cheaper and non iron, but did not work and were not comfy.
