I know its quite a develish question ..but surely we all have a detective in us dont we ;-)..our inquisitive mind sametimes makes us do crazy things right?..dont we want to know whats happening with the hot neighbour next door?...who is the guy who hangs around with the most beautiful girl in the class?..Which are the sites/channels the kids watching when nobody's at home?...who is my hubby talking to on the phone?.. the list is endless ..have you ever pursued to know the answer of such questions...have you spied on anyone ..was it due to compulsion or for fun? Well...as far as my answer goes i have done it both due to compulsion(on my GF), and also for fun(to meet an online friend) Guys, waiting for you interesting comments:-)

Although I would never admit it in a face-to-face discussion, I have spied on my husband before--and it was bad. I went through his e-mail, his Facebook account, and his cell phone. I even took a day off from work without him knowing and followed him around town. :) I guess my act of spying was due to compulsion--he had done something to lose my trust and I went overboard. However, we have since talked our issues over and I no longer spy on him (as much as I used to). :)

LOL. I didn't do any make-up or anything, but I did wish that I had a different car so that I could really follow him around. I had to stay back a few car lengths so that he wouldn't see me in his rear-view mirror! :)

Mystery shopping is like spying so I guess you could say I have done it for money. When you are a mystery shopper you are contracted to go into a specific store and buy something like a regular customer. Then you report back to the one who hired you on such things as cleanliness of the store and the employees, the employees attitudes, and sometimes even the prices that are being charged.

Cool man..i never heard of this concept .and that you can even get paid for doing this..spying is when you have the fear of getting revealed...did you use to have such fear while doing mystery shopping?

Nope, no fear. I have never been caught. Anyway its not like they would shoot you or anything. It's their own corporation that hires us to do these checks. Of course if you do get caught you can't 'shop' that location anymore.

spied? i can say yes. when i met my now wife.... she was really very friendly and very sweet. i mean to everybody. i fell inlove that easy, so scared to break my heart so i spied on her. she knows that when we start living together already. i told it to her. i spied by being on events that i know she is there. watching her shows (she is a professional singer) but she does not know that i am around. and found out that the freindly and sweet person is really her true her. now married for 6 years and we have a 3 year old son.

yes, i did. a couple of times. You know, my boyfriend who is my husband now, has cheated on me a couple of times before. Actually, not really "cheat" because he was never engaged into a relationship with them other than sending sms and dating.(thats what he told me) I never had a peace of mind because a lot of things were going on inside my mind. So, I would always read his messages on the phone (if his not looking) or at the night when he is already asleep, I would quitely get his phone, and browse the inbox, sent messages as well as the calls. I would send sms to those girls pretending that I was him, so i would know more information if he and the girl are into a relationship already. I love him so much so Im still with him now and I know he have change. But I hope he really does.

Well, I definitely check my daughters' Facebooks to see what's going down in their lives. I'm on their friends lists, so they're aware I'll see anything posted. I think you have to bear in mind if you look, you have to be prepared you might be upset by what you find. That's why, when my son left his MySpace profile on my computer once, I got rid of it and made sure I didn't know the password so I'd never be tempted to look. Too much information - and I think I'm much happier not knowing what young lads get up to!

I haven't spied on anyone in real life. I've probably spied on people online through myspace or facebook by going to their profile and reading the comments they received and trying to find their responses. Haha I know it sounds crazy, but anyone with a social networking site has probably done it!

hmmn my definition of spying is ..intruding into someones personal space, doing it in a clandestine manner and having the fear of getting revealed..i dont think your case constitutes spying as the information in the net is there in the public domain and everybody can see it ...it would have been spying if you had hacked somebodies password or sneaked into somebodies account without their permission or knowledge...

I wish I could say that I have never spied on someone but when I think about it I remember that I have. My ex boyfriend. There were times when i did not trust what he said to me. And there were times when I felt like he cheated on me and when I spied on him, I found out that he was cheating on me.

I am a mom so spying is my specialty! LOL I have spied on both of my kids when they were younger. They are both grown now but we have had many laughs over them wondering just how I knew things when they were growing up. I tell them when you have kids of thier own they will disocver the secret! LOL The secret being a good spy! LOL I will admit I wasn't as good at it with the oldest one but by the time the second one hit the teenage years I was a pro! LOL

hi you have brought out a rare question like this. i have not spied but i have been facing the same kind of questions- as a pschological counselor.many couple are having lot of trouble with this spying habit.the majority of this spying done by the males..the males are very possessive about their female relationship. let it be husband-wife,boyfriend-girl friend,father-daughter,brother-sister etc..the males are very much insecure and that to when they too musch attached themselfs with their femals they will become very much possessive (or purchasive)they will be over concerned and ftry to mock their nose every where and in the proces they forget about the individula freedom of their female counter part.this must be avoided. the husbsn or the boy friend is afraid of loosing their loved one.this happen due to male insecurity and a very small doubts will be blow up as per the individual nature.when this possessiveness will build up strongly and the male never want to leave the female partner and start monitoring all their moments secretly..on the way if they can find a smallthing like.. reciving sms from a stranger..or coming home lately etc will trigger the male suspicion and the male energy will raise to it heights on the other way around ..than the male start questining or stary spying..the spying includes checking the cellpones..seeing the sms and recived call/missed call etc..fallowing their beloved phone conversation by hiding, and so on...the spying is tend to happen more if the wife is cute than the husband/ working and getting better salary than the husband etc,i belief these days spying happening more and even one can hire a private detective agents to do the job.thought will flow further..

I did that once. When I was 16 yrs old. I did it on my second girlfriend. I was a bit suspicious about her moves and I thought she was having another man but she had none. She was with her auntie and they went to her sister's office. Well atleast that sets me free. It would be difficult if I didn't do that coz I will always be suspicious everytime she'll go out. She earned my trust after that and we last for a year and a half.

Hey! i did spy on my immediate boss of recent,i know that's bad but i just have to share the experience with you all, many times some boss can really be a bully, imagine giving you unnecessary work to do just for the joy of criticizing you, what actually made me spy on him was because of his habit of spying you out and make a sarcastic report about it later. He has done to me several times, but this time i carried my plan out very well. Guess what! he walked into the office after a lunch break ,i sensed that something was wrong because he came in a hurry and his suit looks a little ruffle, well, i wondered what was the matter. I waited for him to leave the office and when i had the chance,i sneaked into his office and isn't it so amazing ,it was such an horrible sight,i guess you want to know what i saw. i saw a lady's pant on the floor just at the foot of his chair,i guess the pant dropped when he was rushing out. Please, don't tell me am bad.It was really fun for us at the office that day, i just went ahead and spread the news.

Wow ...good job..;-)..you have all the ingredients to be a good spy..well did you care to find out about the lady?
• Nigeria

Actually, i would have love to find out about the lady, but i decided not to because am afraid if my bully boss get to know, it won't speak well of me, since my main target is my boss and i decided not to go further, at least i achieved my aim because it was really fun at my office that day, every junior staff that got to hear were all fusing around with the news.

i have never spied on anyone. just because i never thought anyone would harm me or would make any damage to me.well there are certainly people whom i know who spy on others. just because they are sick in their own mind. you can only know people from their talkings and behaviour.someone is good for you then there is no need to spy on him. but i have heard a couple of stories where high family husbands/wifes hire spys to collect information about their spouse. which i think is not right...

i never spied anyone. i never felt like doing that. i believe if you trust yourself the most then everybody else trusts you too. if you don't trust yourself then it will all reflect in your surroundings. when you are doing right how can others do wrong for you. but in this modern society there is always confusion between man and woman relating to stressful lifes. but all things can be sorted out without spying anyone...:)

I have checked through my girlfriends phone, she has read my journal, stuff like that. When I was doing it I felt like I could't help myself but I felt really bad about it later. Our first year was really rough though cause we were both the type not to trust people or put ourselves at someone elses mercy, but we were really in love with each other and that was terrifying. There were also alot of outside influences on our relationship, we both came out that year and our familys didn't take it too well. But the second we did alot of the girls around us let on that they were interested and alot of guys thought that made us hotter. We were constantly confrontd with people who wanted the other one and that made trusting each other harder. I mean there was always someone willing to take my place with her if I slipped. But we both admitted to each other what we did and now we have been together for 3 years and trust each other. If I had it to do over I would have just trusted her.
