if i were given a chance, i'd rather be a ninja. they have a lot of skills, and can surely beat a samurai anytime. after all in ancient times, bow and arrows are the main weapons of a samurai. it was only in later times that the japanese favored swords for samurai. so with bow and arrows as a weapon, they're likely to be killed by shuriken alone.=)

But the bows and arrows can reach a longer distance than that of a thrown shuriken. Surely, its an advantage for the samurai to shoot the ninjas first before they get close. I agree that the ninjas are skillful and dexterous. They can run long distances and jump over roofs because of their light clothing unlike Samurais who are usually slow and bulky with all those armors and stuffs. Even without their armors then usually run but not as fast as the ninjas.. or so the movies protrayed.

ninja uses many weapons and will cheat to win, samurai code of honor would get him beat in every area except a pro wrestling ring :P
