As a personal trainer i have read alot of articles and journal suggesting that you should eat before a morning work out and the same amount saying you shouldn't eat. What i have gather is this: it depends on your goals do want huge muscles? yes eat some protein and complex carbs before you work out do you want a 6 pack and ripped look: no don't eat and let your body burn the pure fat *on* your stomach for fuel and not the food *in* your stomach

Yes, I think it does serve to your benefit for energy purposes especially. I don't eat anything overly rich or fattening or "heavy" before working out though because it just makes me feel bloated (I like to feel light and agile when I exercise), but I do eat beforehand and maybe wait at least a half hour. Then I start my workout(s).

Hello, I have always been told that you should always eat breakfast before exercising because then you will have eaten calories to burn. Without the calories it is then harder to lose weight. So if you have a good healthy breakfast then you will have something to burn off. So I recommend that you eat breakfast so that you get the best results of your workout. More calories intake more to burn which means more weight you can lose if that is what you are working on. Happy Mylotting

My doctor told me that yes, I should eat something small before exercising. It is best to eat something small and it should be both a protien and a carbohydrate. This will give you energy for the workout. You should also try to drink a glass of milk after the workout to help replenish your body.
