Is Labarbera for real?

Average fans probably never saw him in LA, well unless you are a Kings fan, I am included in that. Since going to Vancouver though I have watched all three games, thank you online streams, and I got to say he is impressing me. I almost feel sorry that he will have to take a back seat in a couple weeks when Luongo gets back. That is unless the Canucks are thinking this is a Depietro situation and Luongo may be out a lot longer. Has anyone else watched and been impressed, or is this just showing how good the defense in Vancouver really is?

I think this is a case of Labarbera being in a new environment and a new chance to prove himself as a legitimate starter in the NHL. He is taking the opportunity very well and put out some great performances over the last few games. That being said, I am waiting for this hot streak to fizzle out. He is a good young prospect that never really got a chance to be showcased in Los Angeles, especially with a traditionally weak defense in front of him. He should get the opportunity to show what he's made of with a decent defense in front of him now that he is in Vancouver but I wouldn't expect anything spectacular long term. While he can win a few games for a team here and there, he isn't one of the top rated goaltenders in the league by any means. But hey, for a 7th round pick, even two wins with him between the pipes is more than you could ask for, lol.

As far as im concerned with the numbers he put up in his three starts he should have 3 wins, less the 2 GAA and .942 SV%. Oh and I picked him up on Fantasy as soon as I heard of the trade, amazed me others jumped on Quick.
