Mr. Bayani Fernando has many good projects for the Metro Manila, beautification, widening and repair of roads, cleanliness and eradication of street vendors. I like to see that one. What can you say about

Bayani is stupid. metro gwuapo is just a facade. makes him look good for 2010 elections. first, the barriers in EDSA. sure segregating vehicles in EDSA sounds good, but putting barriers? EDSA is already congested do you really need to put other things to make things worse? 2, somebody please assure me that each urinal he put in the street is not worth P100,000.00. It's all stupidity. if you saw what happened to those urinals now? did you see what happened to the urinal in front of dasmarinas village in magallanes near EDSA when it rained? Urine come up from the ground. 3, hopefully the last, he made a footbridge in Bicutan interchange. sure it's great, it lessened the traffic. but, try crossing that footbridge when it wiggles when you walk. i'm still counting until how long that bridge would last. i'm not a hater, i just think his project sucks

Many have acclaimed the beauty of Marikina though it is a small city, Metro Manila is a vast land to be develop and to start with. The Philippines is not a rich country but at least we are thriving to growth, people hates increase in taxes, allocation of funds to different level of government is small. Of course we cannot afford it quick and something instant. MMDA is not a single person, the mistake and irregularities of one person should not always be blame to the head, the fault of a son is not always blame to the father, but at least the father is thinking and if he is not thinking at all, then that is called stupid. I would rather appreciate than critisize if i am not doing any better and words of encouragement is more progressive and fruitful. If he has inner motive in putting banners, that is with him. Thanks for your response. Happy New year.

Who do you want me to put the blame on? ok, Marikina is good. but not EDSA. have you seen any improvements? try living in Sucat and Bicutan and you won't go to Ayala Makati, know why? buses going to sucat/bicutan don't pass through ayala anymore, there are some, but it's a pain in the a** to go home. know why? the barriers that is supposed to discipline the buses are the same excuse of bus driver to pile up and fall in line for 20 minutes. do you know how long that is? he keeps on saying about discipline, but look at his people, are they disciplined enough? why not throw the blame on him? his the one getting all the credits right? you love him so much? his wasting your tax money. i would be glad if he spend it wisely, but not. tax money on the urinals? wasted, urinals are now just "junks" (prove me wrong PLEASE). do you see the new foot bridge he is building? doesn't seem to last long, ours are already wiggling, try walking there PLEASE.

you know what michael_nonan, the very reason why our country is not progressing is because there were people like you. you are talking about the barriers in EDSA particularly in sucat and the traffic there and you have mentioned that the purpose of the barriers are for the drivers to be disciplined IF ONLY THE DRIVERS WOULD FOLLOW AND UNDERSTAND THE VERY PURPOSE OF THE BARRIERS DO YOU THINK IT WILL BECOME JUNK?? and about the urinals and the rest... as a citizen HAVE YOU DONE SOMETHING ON IT? you know am not a follower of BF but I appreciate his initiative in making difference not only in Marikina and the whole the EDSA but I guess its his and the whole MMDA share of service to the people. And for ones am happy to where my taxes goes. why don't you try to do something about your sentiments?!? just try maybe BF would listen to you.... peace!

Comparing Bayani Fernando with former MMDA chairmans, I'd go for Bayani. I like how MMDA was able to make useful overpasses in short time. (I say useful because there are overpasses that are built out of place.) I think the continues eradication of street vendors to provide way to pedestrians is a needed action that should be sustained and implemented throughout Metro Manila. The urinals are good but looks like they forgot how public toilets in the country often ends up dirty and neglected. (I wonder why they did not just utilize the portalets used during the Papal visit here in the Philippines.) What I hate most of MMDA's project are the building of barriers in EDSA. Try to check the one in Cubao in front of Farmers and you will see how these barriers turned the place uglier than before. Oh, the barriers did not improve the traffic flow either.

Yes, it's a little bit inactive for awhile but I think this is relevant up till now. Bayani Fernando is still the MMDA chairman and his projects are still being implemented. And it's an interesting topic. I hope more will post more fresh insights.

I like him and his work but frankly I am not sure if I am comfortable with him "campaigning" this early for president with his billboards all over the city

Its a nice project and how I wish local officers will do there part in maintaining the roads and the cleanliness. And am looking forward also for a good project about squatters. I really don't understand why rich cities can't do something to lessen the squatters if not just to give them descent homes for the sake of their health and safety as well.

It was a very good project and im hoping too that it is real and with the help of every citizen, we can make Manila a beautiful place to live with. Yes, some times when we see news on tv about shanties being put down and people are complaining, I cannot blame them for having that sentiment, but what is important is somebody has the strong hand to do it and make the place livable and beautiful in the end.

Yes, Bayani Fernando did a good job as MMDA chairman. When i visited Marikina, i was impressed with its beauty and the discipline the people of Marikina have in maitaining its cleanliness. Mr. Fernando definitely brought his work ethics as a former mayor of Marikina to MMDA. Some might think that he is just doing it in preparation for the 2010 elections but for me the decision would still come from the voting public.

Thank you for your positive response, Mr. Fernando have accomplished something that other politician needs to emulate and he deserved a praise. I agree with you, if he is doing it for the election, the philippines is a big country and his chance is very small, specially so that still we cannot deny the voting system in the philippines where everything can be bought, but again his ideas are good, generally.
