Even i feel very tire and sleepy i dont want to sleep in front of my computer for it doesnt give me a good night sleep, it just create stiff neck and muscle pain afterward. I tried it once when i have to complete my homework, and i dont want it to happen again. When i feel sleepy i find a comfortable place to sleep.

I have never fallen alsepp in front of my computer before and I hope I never do either! Maybe if I sat on a couch with my laptop I might, but I am sitting at a desk so there is little chance of me dozing off I think. I can imagine how sore someone would be when they woke up if they did though. I am not one of those people that falls asleep no matter where anyway. I like to keep things simple and sleep in my bed as intended!

Hi james, Good for you that you dont experience it, ive done it before and i dont want it to happen again, not because of what i experience but it has also side effect of radiation which is harmful for our health. Thanks for the respond.

For me I will not say I tried, but it was automatically slept on it, due to overtime working in office hahahaha. I already used to it. And I have my own cushion too:p, It reminds me in my design class...of all of us agreed to bring our own small cushion pillow. So when we have to stay back in the class to finish our project, it really helps a lot...But actually the disadvantage sleeping in front comp, the radiation level is very high. If possible try to avoid any mobile or cellular phone or any radiation equipment and keep away maybe to other room or far from your bed or sleeping area....otherwise not good for our health.

Hello There! Oh yes! Definitely! But the worst part was I slept when I was in the office. It was really embarrassing. I remember I was a chat support at that time. We got a lot of sessions, I accommodate four sessions at a time and I was so sleepy despite of I keep coming back and forth in the laboratory and my workstation. So, I took a 30 minutes break to take a nap in front of my computer, on my workstation… then I woke up after an hour and a half… actually, my team leader knows but I was so sleepy that he just let me sleep just this one time… but the prize! They took my picture while sleeping! And was posted in one of the sleepiest person in the office… I can’t help it because we were on GY (Graveyard) shift at that time. Goodluck and thanks for the discussion! Happy Mylotting! Cheers!

Hi jesballaine, Good thing that your team leader is very supportive to you, I know how it feels to be in graveyard shift because my brother is also a call center agent and he always complain on the first week of His work, for he feel very sleepy and he cannot sleep also during the day. So what they did is they have an hour brake for sleeping each one of them. Thanks for the respond

I have tried sleeping in front of my computer when I was still working in a call center. I do that whenever I'm on break for 10 minutes just a power nap. Anyway I prefer sleeping in a comfortable bed than in front of a computer.

Power nap, wow i think i need that too Yori. I like to be with my computer but since i get easily tire of just looking in the monitor i ended up sleepy all the time. Maybe power nap is a solution for me. Thanks for the respond.

For the busy work last year, I used to sleep in front of the computer in my company, the whole night I sleep there, so tired and so unconfortable. :( At that day, I have some work must finish and my boss order me that, no matter how, tomorrow I must see the date you collece. Oh, it was a real nightmare. I remembered when I heared what my boss said to me, I really want to bite his nose.

I did almost fall asleep, that is my eyes got tired, in front of the computer, but it was not that comfortable. I mean my neck would hurt, and my shoulders would get cramped, so what I did was to get up and walk around or go to the bedroom and lie down. I do not think sleeping on the computer is a good idea especially if you decide to lean forward.

There is a point when I can no longer focus on the computer. So, I have never fallen asleep at my PC. I have known people who have passed out on the keyboard and such, though I could not force myself to stay on to that point.

Yeah, There was a time when i was waiting for my downloads to finish. It's taking awhile so i fell asleep on my desk where my computer is just right in front of me. I always stay up late either to download or to chat so sometimes there are times when i can't fight the sleepiness anymore so i end up sleeping on my desk.

I don't keep at my computer when i get too sleepy. I straight away stop whatever i was doing, shut down my computer, and go to my precious bed. I like my sleep so i make sure i have a comfortable bed and no noise at all in the house. I won't even sleep on the sofa. I think it's important to have a good night's sleep to avoid having any bad moods in the day and have well replenished energy for better concentration.

Hello. Well I do often feel sleepy when I am in front of the computer, especially if I am trying to do some work! But I have never actually fallen asleep in front of the computer. If I get so tired that I really need to sleep, then I usually just get into bed! I am pretty useless when I am very tired and need my sleep. I can imagine that sleeping at the computer is pretty painful though when you do wake up - can't be good for the neck or shoulders. Happy myLotting

Yeah... I totally agree with you. It is a luxury and comfort to sleep in bed after all. If i am really tired i need to lie down in order to sleep. This will the refain my energy level. Compared to sleeping up straight and especially in front of a computer, not only will it give me stiff neck and muscle pain, it also gives me a massive headache, and hindering me from doing things troughout the day. The only time i remembered sleeping in front of the computer is when i had afternnon classes and i was having a break. I had nowhere to go and was feeling sleepy as i am a person who take afternoon naps. So i decided to go to the library and use its computer facilities to do some research for my assignment. In the end i took a nap right in front of the computer and it does help a little in reboosting my energy but nothing beats to sleep in bed and to snuggle up under the covers especially on a rainy night!

Hi dramalurve, Headache is one the things that i really hate to have for i cant do my work properly, I guess we should not let our body suffer from pains when we feel we need to sleep, we should go to bed or a sofa that can give us a comfortable place to sleep is the best thing that we can give to ourself. thanks for the respond.

I can sleep literally anywhere!! This skill comes from frequent travels up to Malaysia whereby I have to sleep upright on a seat for a grand total of 12 hours just to get to Perak. So for me, I have fallen asleep in front of my computer countless numbers of times, and though it wasn't the most comfortable place to be sleeping at, I won't say that it is the worst place I have ever fallen asleep at. That time I was gaming all night, and I guess I had just closed my eyes for a while, and the next thing I know was that it was morning when I opened my eyes. Lol. Though I must say that I suffered from a day's of neck sprain, I will still do it all over again, all for the sake of using the computer to the maximum of my time! Take care!

Haha If given the choice, I would not want to also. However, there are only night buses connecting Singapore to Perak and so, I have no choice each time I go up North to visit my boyfriend. *Shrugs* So, it's either don't sleep and arrive the next morning like a panda, or sleep sitting up right and well, at least I have my sleep! Lol take care!

I guess you dont have the luxury of time to sleep comfortably, so you sleep anywhere at anyplace at any position do you like. Wow, i wish i can also do it too.

I cannot remember whether I have slept in front of my computer before. Maybe yes, when it was the time when I was doing revision for final examinations. Nowadays, I sure I will not sleep in front of my computer anymore as my desk is small and my bed is just next to my desk. It is easy to get on bed and have a better sleep!

I think i have slept once in front of the computer, i actually have forgotten what happened, but i think most probably i was too tired and fall sleep unconsciously. It was many many years ago. I don't think i like that experience as i got the stiff neck too. I prefer sleeping in my bed!!!
