what are the uses of facebook? do you know anything

I use FaceBook as a sort of "virtual office" where I keep track of writing I've done on the 'net, where I can meet other writers, and where I can discuss career issues. It's a great way to keep motivated, too, because if I post up a goal or a list - there are people on my friends list that will help keep me accountable. I've found job leads on there, workshops, newsletters, and career-related events to attend. In addition to all of this, I've also connected with a number of friends from high school that I've been trying to connect with for years. I particularly like the ability to update my FaceBook status from my phone. So, as you can see, there are a lot of uses beyond social networking - I like to look at this site as a tool that's also a toy. :-)

As far as I know it is a social networking site. Basically a site to meet new friends. I am a member there but don't ever go there.

facebook is a kind of social networking via internet. so you can have lots of friend in it or maybe find your old friend :)
