Do you love your Parents second to God?

God first, then all others.

That's a much more complicated question than it appears to be! I love my parents, especially my mother, very very much. I will be devestated when I lose them. And I love God. I don't think I can actually say that I love one more than the other, since I love them differently. God is essentially the ultimate parent - creator and father - so in a sense I DO love him as I love my parents. But my parents are HERE. I KNOW them. I've HUGGED them, been comforted by them, and while God can be found in all that affection, in that parental connection, God is abstract. My parents are tangible to me. That may not seem like a big difference, but it is. That is not to say that my faith in God is not strong, or to imply that because He is not as tangible as my parents, my belief is somehow lessened. It just makes my love for them different, and things that are that fundamentally different from each other can not be compared.
