Do you have a front load washer or one with an agitator?

I bought my front load about 4 years. Knock on some wood it works great and I love it. It uses a lot less water and so much easier to get your clothes out. They are expensive, but it was worth it so far. So what do you have or prefer?

I've never used a front load washer. I've always had the ones where you load from the top. I've seen them before but they are out of my price range. At least for now and for a while to come they are.

I too have a front loading one. As you say, its not cheap but its worth every penny I spent on it. It has all the options of hot and cold wash and gentle wash or short wash and that’s extremely beneficial as every household has various types of laundry to be done. I also like front loading ones coz the top can be used as a table-top to pile up the dirty clothes.

We have a top loading washing machine. We just bought a new washer a few years ago and they still ended up buying a top loading machine. I'm really not sure what I like better. I do know that I hate having to bend over to pull clothes from the bottom of the washing machine when they get stuck. It's such a pain.

I have never used one of these, but I think that I would probably like it better. I am always so worried that my clothes are going to wrap around the agitator thing.

I have a top load washer with no agitator. I love it. It holds up to three times the amount of clothes and uses less water. I also think that it gets my clothes much cleaner. Until I got this washer, I had never seen a washer get white clothes as white as it does. I think it was a very good investment.

I've got a front loading washer drier, I've never used other type of washing machine except in launderettes. It is harder to get your clothes in and out but top loading machines seem to work just as well as ones that load from the front and are able to take bigger loads. I like my front loading machine though and probably wouldn't change to atop loading machine at home.

I grew up using a top loader (with an agitator), but when it came time to buy my own, I and my husband opted for a front loader. Why? Larger capacity, mostly. I've found I can fit much more in my front loader than I could in a top loader. It also cleanes my clothes much better - stains that a top loader couldn't remove, my front loader took out in one wash - AFTER the stains were set!
