my mom got the news that she is CLEAR of cancer.. the lump was all there was and the spots they had found on her liver must not have been anything.. well they still are thinking about doing radiation in the area she had the lump since it was connected to her breast cancer like 15 years ago but that is the side of her heart and she has a pacemaker in.. the doctor said the specialist would be able to say if its possible or not but i figured i would see if anyone here knows if its possible.. i would think if she cant do an mri because of her pacemaker then radiation therapy over her pacemaker wouldnt be good either or do they some how turn it off or something?? im confused

the people qualified to answer those questions are the doctors, so you just have to go with what your doctors say or see if there is info on the net about it,

That's a good question....and good for your mom on being clear of cancer! My dad had a pacemaker....and cancer. But he opted not to have treatment as he was in his 80's and quite ready to go.....hope you find your answer!
