Losing 30 pounds in one wee?

I just watched the first episode of The Biggest Loser, and I couldn't believe how big some of the contestants were. I guess I should believe it, considering the US is suppose to be the "biggest" country. I've just never seen it like that. I felt really happy for Daniel for losing that 30 pounds. Even if he walks away with just losing like 100 pounds, that'll make things a whole lot better for him in the long run. Not that he shouldn't still lose more than that, but it'll give his health a better chance.

The contestants on The Biggest Loser work very hard to lose that weight. You will always lose more weight your first week and the bigger you are the more you will lose at first. I was really happy to see Daniel lose 30 pounds he really seems like he wants to get healthy and lose the weight. I hope his statement comes true he would like to lose the most weight ever lost on The Biggest Loser I am rooting for him.

I'm sure it will make him want to go on. I can't wait to see the "finished product."

30 pounds in a week.. that's a lot of work.. but it is not the ideal way to loose weight...not safe for everyone atleast..

All of the contestants are kept watch by medical staff the entire time they're on the series. I would doubt that the show would put people through all this if it wasn't safe. If it wasn't safe, it'd be the show's butt in a sling.

I think it needs to be posted that they have visited a doctor before losing this weight. Most of us shouldn't try losing 30 pounds in one week. Its just not safe for all of us.

Wow, I would love to lose 30 pounds. But I couldn't imagine what that week would be like if you lost it all in one week. Then I would be all set. I have lost about 10 pounds since the beginning of October and feel a lot healthier now. But I would like to lose a little more and be under what the average weight for my size is supposed to be. I couldn't imagine being that much over weight. I know we are supposedly the worst country when it comes to weight. Although, I know a lot of people who have been losing weight lately and look and feel a lot better. Thanks for starting this discussion, and have a great day!

I think if I somehow lost 30 pounds in a week, I'd be ecstatic and haldway to my goal. I don't really have a lot to lose, but 30 pounds would be a difference
