I am pretty sure most parents know that feelings you get, when someone give favorable comment about your little tot. I was on my off day, so I brought my little one to take the Light Rapid Transit (a sort of train service). She was just happy and was talking and talking. That obviously impressed one of the passage who is a young mother herself. She was sing praises about how she is able to say so many things at such a young age (18 months) While I have no idea before, I thought it was pretty common, obviously it is not. I was so proud today.

That is such a good feeling, though we would love our children no matter what and be just as proud of them, without the praise from others. It is heartwarming to hear that there are still people in this world that aren't afraid to speak up and give GOOD compliments, and especially when they are directed at our children, it sure does a heart good! You have every right to be very proud, and bless the lady who found it in her heart to tell you!

Yes it is SueD823,I agree with what you said, that is why I do not understand how some parents can abuse their child. In fact when I see other kids around I would always feel happy. Perhaps I like children. Yes I think she have a kind heart, and surely god would bless her and her beautiful little girl. cheers.

I'm glad to "meet" a Proud Dad today! Seldom you can find guys who are so vocal about their pride on their child's achievements. I wish my little angel's dad will be proud of him as well . Well, congratulations in having such an intellectual child. Keep it up!

Hello maple_kisses, I think your hubby is as proud a dad as I am. He is just not as vocal about it. I do not take compliment that well when it is said in my face either. I meant I would smile and say thank you. However that is about it. However my heart glow with pride. I am sure your hubby is just the same.

Wow! You must be really proud. She sounds a very clever little girl. She is only one and a half and is chit-chatting away to you. My eldest daughter was like this also. I was really proud of her. I had more time with her and taught her everything. My family said I used to talk to her like an adult. I really am pleased your little one is like this. It really is nice to be told by someone else how great they are. It makes all the hard work as babies worth while. Enjoy! Take care.

you got that right. Sometime you shot off too fast and cannot retract it. Make and she hear it once and she is repeating it so many time in front of others. Man, I do not to laugh or to kill myself.

Yes I am really proud hildas. I think my wife had a lot to do with it, like when we go walk in the park we would point to her at the birds, flowers, trees and tell her about. At the supermarket we show her the fruits and certain section of the meat and fish. I think it help if you talk to them like adult, they respond back. I heard somewhere they pick up the fastest between 1 to 3 years old. So if you are not careful, like me when words like "shXt" comes out she pick it up too.
