Do you prefer to do cleaning by yourself or ask for a cleaner?

Since my retirement, I do cleaning by myself, which saves me hundreds a month and thousands for years. That is something for us living on pensions. In the first place, I do not like sitting back watching others cleaning in front of my eyes. I take cleaning as excercises and can arrange it flexibly room by room. Lastly, it leaves me more freedom in planning my activities. I do not need to wait at home on set days as in the past. But how long can I manage, I don't know.

no actually i didn't have that much time to clean myself that's why prefer cleaner's to do this and also they had experience of cleaning the place like what they wanted so i prefer cleaner

Hello! I am living in a city in India.Here we are experiencing scarcity of labor for household works.So we do our own works ourselves.I am also a retired person and we are too old to do such hazardous works daily.So we are in search of a worker who will help us in cleaning the house and washing dishes daily.But it is not available yet.thanx.

I try and keep up on my own, as much as I can. Now that I'm older, and have health problems, my girls come and help me with the seasonal cleaning, and some of the other tasks I can't do. Even though I can't exercise as I once did, I do believe cleaning is somewhat of a workout (in a sense lol.) I don't think I'd ever hire out to have things done; it's not in the budget, for one. I also don't think I'd feel comfortable with others I don't know coming in.

Cleaning is something that I would prefer to do myself but, I am so busy I need to have someone clean for me. Cheers!!

We can't afford a cleaning service. However I was not raised by someone who was by any means domestic so finding the motivation always can be difficult. But I don't seem to mind it as much if hubby is helping out then I feel motivated and feel like something got accomplished and a few minutes of quality time of sorts with Hubby.

Hello zhuhuifen! It still depends upon my mood. There are times that I am not in the mood to clean so I paid someone to clean the house. But if I am in the mood to clean, I would clean it myself.
