How do you get people to join your blog?

I recently made an attempt at creating my first blog, I still have no idea what I'm doing. It's suppose to be about poetry and writing but I guess people find my writing creepy since I'm the only one who visits my blog and post I have 0 members:(

I also am working on my blog and since I love books, I thought I'd blog about the books that interest me. I also used to write poetry in class and I enjoyed that.
I visited your site, pardon me but your writing is fine, that is how you express yourself but the red text... it was so hard to read. And the eye really scared me a bit.
You have the idea there about sharing your poetry and inviting others to also share theirs so I guess you just have to stick with the plan and enjoy what you love most. Though make your blog more eye-friendly...
