Do you use Facebook for work or for play...or both?

I love having the ability to use Facebook as a platform similar to personal websites. For example, it's a lot quicker (and I receive a lot more hits) for me to post links to writing I've finished or that has recently been published on the web to my Facebook account than it is to update a personal website with this information. In addition, I love the fact that I've connected with so many friends that I've been trying to find for years. How do you use Facebook? Do you find features on there that correspond well with your profession, or do you prefer the social aspects? Are you able to find the happy medium and use it both for work and for play?
