Replying to respondants

One of the glorious things about mylot is that we can actually reply to responses as well as responding to the Original Post. That is what makes a discussion site a discussion site and it is what keeps the conversation moving. I was recently told by someone that I should not be replying to responses. I was even told that it was rude to do so. I find that completely false and I personally love it when people other than the OP reply to my responses on a topic. So my question is, when you come across an interesting discussion, do you just give your response and move on, or do you look at all the responses and reply when you feel a need?

I love interaction whether you leave a comment or a reply to a respondant. If I am into an interesting discussion I would not hesitate to leave a comment to antoher repsondent if I feel tha my contribution will make the discussion better. If not I try to refrain from doing so.

I reply to anything that catches my eye and if certain people i know responded then i say hi or something silly to them..so i respond all over the place and whoever told you this is losing out on fun and extra points and money.. huggs

I absolutely look at all the responses and reply when I feel compelled to! I recall in one of my discussions one of the respondents said nobody but me had better reply to her post. I wouldn't be surprised of it was the same person who told you you shouldn't do it...lol! By the way, I'm responding from my e-mail notification so I haven't read the other responses yet, in case you gave a "hint" of who said you were rude. If nobody but the original poster were "allowed" to reply it wouldn't really be a discussion, would it? Annie
