Christmas Tree

Usually the long weekend for Thanksgiving my family takes the time to put up our Christmas tree as well as all the rest of the Christmas decorations. Its a tradition that has been going on for a while.

I normally don't put mine up till right after Thanksgiving but this year we put it up a couple of days ago. We were clearing out the room it was going in cause we still had some left over boxes from when we moved in a few months aog. So we decided to bring in the tree. It only has the lights on it cause I'm using it to bring my son into getting his work done faster!

We get a live tree every year, so we usually wait until the second week of December to get it. We decorate the house after Thanksgiving though.

My mom used to have a fast rule that we couldn't put up the Christmas tree and lights until the day after Thanksgiving. In my own home I tend to go really crazy decorating so I've been known to have trees up from before Thanksgiving till nearly Valentine's Day. I usually have a live tree in my bedroom, another in the living room and one that lives in the front lawn. When my daughter was little, we often decorated every room in the house, including bathrooms and wash room. We also loved to decorate the whole outside like a candy house. Each tree was a different kind of candy tree, doors and windows had giant lollipop decorations, walls were made to look like fruit cake and the roof was decorated with pink "icing".

I usually put mine up the day after Thanksgiving. I don't know if I am going to have one this year though. We will be packing and getting ready to move, and I don't know that I want to go through all that!

we put up our Christmas tree around the 15th of december and let him stay until the 8th of januari

tradition sais we should put it up the night before christmas..but people make it long time before,maybe also 1 week before..

Im going to put mines up tomorrow. This year I want to enjoy christmas a little longer. I usually put it up in December and take it down in the beginning of January. This year will be different.

we put up our moms christmas tree after thanksgiving dinner...always have since we've been little...at my house we put it up when we get home from my moms..couple days after thanksgiving...love the lights...and i leave mine up till after new yrs lol i hate taking my lights down cause i miss them after they are gone
