What is your favorite rock song of all time?

alright so I started a discussion yesterday about who people like better Tom Petty or Steve Miller, now i want to know what your favorite rock song of all time is, according to the Rolling Stones 500 greatest songs of all time Bob Dylan's Like a Rolling Stone gets the honors but i disagree personally i would give the vote to Bryan Adams for his hit Summer of 69... This is not my vote simply for a quality song though this song speaks to a generation so many people can listen to this song and it takes them back to the best days of their lives, this song brings back memories that people have long since forgotten about and can make you smile when you feel that nothing else can, but this is just my opinion

My favorite rock song is the eye of the tiger by survivor because I especially liked Rocky 3, which is the episode where the song was debuted, when rocky went up against Clubber Lang.

My favorite song remains and has been for a long time, "Thick as a brick." It is one song that takes up both sides of the album or one CD. Even though it has many different parts to it that sound like different songs, it all flows together and sounds like one song.

thanks for you input Marty. I personally have never heard of this particular song, who's the artist? i would love to take a listen to it i am a big music lover and like to hear new songs and new kinds of music just to broaden my knowledge on music in general.

Yes, I'm sorry I didn't mention the artist. It's Jethro Tull. The song is about 45 minutes long.

You have mentioned some very good old time music there.
they sure don't make music like they used to.
I love the Stones, Bob Dylan, Eagles, ZZ Top and many more.
There is so many cool tunes out there.
I agree that the tune Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams has that way back machine effect on a majority of us, indeed.
I find that there are several tunes that do that though.
I have to say that my all time favorite rock song, actually blues but rock is by the Famous Stevie Ray Vaughan.

no matter what your favorite rock song is I am sure it can be heard on www.crossfire-radio.com so why not tune in and request it or just check out our top ten most requested songs to see what other like come check out the web site i am sure you will enjoy it. you can even dedicate a song to whomever you'd like. the dedication is shown on the main page and if a DJ is on it is read on the air.

I have so many many songs that I love that it'd be impossible to pick a favorite. I will agree with you here that of all songs or artists that bob dylans, like a rolling stone would be it. I definitly think Bryan Adams "summer of 69" would be more popular across the board. I like bob dylan but....the greatest? That's surprising.

my favorite rock song has to be..Paranoid by Black Sabbath!...Numb by Linkin Park is also awesome!!
