Callie Rough, mighty want to write a parenting how to book -on what NOT to do. The 37 year old mom was recently arrested at a Dollar General Store when she and here husband were caught shoplifting. Among the things the couple pilfered was a book called 101 Ways to Be a Great Mom. I hope she realizes that not one of the 101 suggestions probably includeds teaching your child to steal! Have you ever shoplifted? (With or without your kids?)

Oh isn't that rich? How the heck do these people hope to teach their children right from wrong. That's ridiculous. I think they should be made to loose the kids for a few hours each day to allow them to do community service work. There's always a lot of garbage on the street to pick up. They should have this to do for at least three months. The next time they go to jail.

oh my goodness! Those poor children. i wonder what they were thinking? I just know my children know right from wrong and if I ever shoplifted I think they would be devistated! I stole once when I was a young child, a dumdum sucker..(I even went so far as to put a hole in the bag to get the pink one out...thinking about it now someone must have saw me breaking into the bag of dumdums) and when my mom saw it when we were in the car she marched me right back into the store and took me to the security guard and I was never so scared. I am not even sure why I took it I'm sure my mom would have bought me one if I had asked, I couldnt have been more than 5 years old..and I never did it again! But a parent stealing and taking the kids with them, horrible!

That is funny i think about the parenting book. She should have realised that she would get caught. * Shakes head * I have shop lifed before when i was a teenager and in my early 20's and before i had my daughter. I nearly got caught once in a supermarket, and i had my bag full of stationery, a few drinks, and something to eat. The checkout chick was stalling, and i knew i was going to get busted, but when the male workers come to the checkout, and security, they got the person in front of me, and everyone saw what happened, and i just walked out casually, and bolted of the premises once i got outside. I literally crapped myself, and i never shop lifted again. I got home and i stole about $400 worth of stuff. I felt guilty about it and still do, but i have never shop lifted before as that really scared me that incident.

This reminds me of a couple I saw on the Dr Phil show. It was about a couple who would shoplift all day long and then go home and sell the items on ebay. They took their 3 children with them on the days they would go stealing! The crazy thing to me was they went on national tv and told usa all about it! Now I don't steal with or without my kids. I try to be a positive roll model for my children.

That is pretty bad I must agree, No I have not shoplifted even though sometimes I feel that the people...like us that do everything by the book are the ones paying for the ones that do not play by the book. For example I know people that shoplift and are on wel fare and feel the don't have to pay for everything...but the people that work hard for there money are forced to pay for everything...including precriptions and health care...I mean some people on welfare are very responsible and REALLY do need it but some people abuse it!!!! Thanks kelly
