I can relate to feeling scared about getting older. When I turned 31 I had been trying to have a child for several years. I was scared that my eggs were drying up and I would never have children. Now, after having my first child at age 38, I occasionally get scared at the thought of aging and being in good health to see my son become an adult.... and live long enough to meet my grandchildren.

Oh really? You have your first child at the age of 38? At my age of 33, I don't pretend that I don't want a love relationship. I just increase my capacity to be alone and feel OK bout it. It is a way of developing my independence also, it will just make me more ready and able to have one. Instead of just getting caught up in trying to meet, attract, and win someone in the world out there. I don't let the time pressure me, when I still have a years of fertility ahead, and avoid being aware that time is running out. It just added pressure and stress too, hehhehhehe..

I am now 33 years old. I will be 34 in a few months. I would honestly have to say that at one point yes I was scared to get older. But now I would not say that I am scared. I guess part of it is because I know that I have lived life well, loved everyone around me and have recieved alot of love in return. I do worry about missing some things like I am going to be a grandma soon and do worry that about how much time I have with my grandchild. But I got lucky and had my kids young. My youngest is now 8 and I should be around when she haas her kids. You just have to live day by day and try to get as much out of life as possible.

I'm 52 and embrace each new year of my life. I remember when I was young and 30 sounded so old. Before I knew it 30 had come and gone and I didn't feel old. 40 came and went and still I didn't feel old. Now I am 52 years young. Age is just a number. You are only as old as you feel. As long as you are in good health, don't worry about your age. Enjoy your life and don't make your self old before your time. My mom is 82 and I dare anyone to call her old. The nurse in the doctors office made a remark about her being elderly and boy did she get mad.
