Ukrainian bride seeks 'decent' British guests A Ukrainian bride whose family and friends cannot make it to her wedding in Britain advertised Monday for "decent" guests to attend the ceremony in their place. She even needs a bridesmaid. She has posted an advert online saying that only her parents can be at her wedding in London and she needs 30 people to fill her side of the church. "I'm having a large mixed wedding of about 150 people. My partner has loads of family around to invite to the wedding," said the ad on gumtree.com. "Unfortunately for me, my family are all in Ukraine so they all can't make it, only my mum and dad will be there. I need 30 decent people to represent me for the church wedding and you will get free reception tickets. "This includes free meals and dance -- it could be just a time for you to relax and have fun." The woman asks for would-be guests to send a picture of themselves and "tell me a bit about you", adding: "PS. I also need volunteers to be bridesmaid, groomsmen and ushers." I've just read this in a news article and got me thinking, if your family couldn't make it to your wedding would you consider renting a crowd?

Hi Scorpio, I definitely wouldn't consider renting a crowd, for starters you don't know what these people are like, you may get your wedding gifts stolen, they may be rowdy and cause trouble through too much drink, no if my family couldn't attend I would have a much smaller affair or get my husbands guests to sit both sides of the church instead. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Ellie, I agree with you and would go for a smaller do, honestly I get gobsmacked bu what I read in the news. I read the other day a couple getting a divorce and the husband wanted his donated kidney back from his wife, I was helpless with laughter.

Hi Scorpio, I know the news gets crazier daily. I heard about the donated kidney one, that is just spiteful and vicious, why can't people just accept they no longer get on as partners but still get on as people out of a relationship, there must have been love there once. It is like playground stuff, 'I want my ball back' ridiculous. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hello Ellie, wow your words have just hit right home to me, about something else going on in my life, that is so true why is it when a relationship ends it has to be spiteful or is that just the way it is at the end of my relationship. When I watched further about that particular news article, turns out he wanted the money back, not the actual kidney because the daft so and so thought he was entitled because he'd saved her life only for her in return to go and cheat on him..so it just got more ridiculous..LOL

Hi scorpio no I wouldn't be bothered about that, if my mum and dad were the only ones that could make it then I would be happy with that rather than have a bunch of strangers I has never known come to my wedding..hugs littleowl xx

Hi Littleowl,I think most people would prefer it to be just a few rather than a load of strangers, I think it's quality here not quantity that matters, thanks for responding.

Hi scorpio, No I won't I much rather have a small do as you can't trust people, I would cancel a big do and just have your patents and few friends, and save the money for your future. Love and hugs. Tamara xxx
