whilst I was driving home yesterday. Just a routine check for papers but as he aapproached me he took out his notebook. His hands were very large and he wrote down my licence plate number in a very tiny notebook. The thought struck me that I lived in two countries and travelled to a few other countries and that all the policemen I have seen have these little tiny note books.
I then watched tv for a while and lo and behold the policeman was holding the tiniest notebook ever and endeavouring to write in it. Have you noticed this and why do they not carry a decent sized note book?

they probably have to have a small one that fits in their pockets.

yeah its right i also noticed that and i think they don't like to write and don't want to carry normal size notebooks because they have to get money from people like me or you and they feel uncomfortable to carry both of these together Lol...........

I think that you live in my country! Here a few policmen will say 'left or right'. When they say that - left means that you leave them a money or right means that they will write you a ticket! I have never ewxperienced this though. when they stop me, the first thing I do is take out my diary and write down their number!
