Interested in some freebies? This works. Do you have a favorite food or product that you just love? Something that you just can not seem to get enough of? That you love so much that you want to give Kudos? I have. In the past I have run into some products, mostly food, that I love so much I told the company so. To my surprise I received a free sample in my mail. I thought, Hey, this is pretty cool! All i did was tell the company how much I loved their product. I decided to do it again. I then received coupon in my mail box. This is a fabulous way to get more of what you love at no cost to you, what so ever. I have since learned that you can actually contact a company, that manufactures the product that you love and tell them so with a self addressed envelope. Just tell them that you would really like some coupons, if they'd be as so kind to send. 9 out of 10, you will find those coupon in your mail box within weeks time! I also found that if you contact a company and tell them something that was not quite right with their product, they will do whatever they can to keep you a satisfied customer. Take a bag of your favorite cookies. Ever notice the label on the side of the package that offers a toll free 1 800 number? Use it. Say the bag of cookies was nothing but a bunch of crumbs. Likely do to a stock person rough housing with your back of cookies before it hit the shelf. The company wants to know about it. Forget taking them back to the store. Go right to the source and you will be better off. You don't even have to call the toll free number with a complaint of sorts. Just call 'em to give them kudos. They love it. If they don't offer to send you something free, just suggest it. "So, since I love your Doritos so much how about a bag or two on the house"? If they decline, ask for a coupon, at the very least. Sounds a bit upfront? Nah. These people answering the phones are getting paid to do so. You just want the company product and if the other person knows whats best for the company, as they should, they will be gladly send you your request. It's not like you are going to do it every week or even month. Try it though, it works. If the person on the phone is humming and hawing, ask to speak to the CEO, especially if your bag of cookies was nothing but a bunch of bits and pieces. After all, it's not like you bargained for a can of mushrooms when you chose the bag of cookies. Use humor and address by name. They will remember you for a time to come. Perhaps they will even think more about offering more coupons to their faithful customers. maybe even gladly toss in a couple freebies every now and then. Writing is a great way to get coupons. Not just for food but for other products as well. Such as sandwich bags of all things. Just be sure to target the bigger companies that have been around for centuries. Try your favorite dog food company. I am. I will update you ;) Your favorite laundry cleaning products, domestic cleaning products, even grooming products, shaving lotion, moisturizer and especially make up! Tell Maybelline how much you just love their mascara, tell them why and that you would like to try some different colors or something.Most of these companies have web sites too. Often they have contests as well, that one can just enter. Sometimes they have coupons. We can always keep an eye out on save.com for printable coupons sent right to you mailbox by snailmail. If you are in Canada, like me just go to save.ca. It is handy. Besides coupons, you can get free products and samples with a little bit of effort and willingness to give kudos when earned. Pushing the envelope a bit sometimes doesn't hurt. Try it and let me know of your freebie success. It is fun none the less. Even if they still blow you off once you have praised them as the best company ever and even went one short of begging by asking them for a measly coupon. I have had them send me complete product along with coupons for more so don't be surprised if they don't shower you with the same gifts of appreciation because you are such a great customer.
