Do you prefer to wash dishes by hand or put them in a dishwasher? I like to do them by hand just because not all my dishes always come out clean from my dishwasher so I always feel I have to re wash them, Plus I still have to rinse them and then dry them and put them away. I just much prefer to hand wash them....if my dish washer was to be broken...I would not be up set How about you

i guess maybe if youve never had certain things you dont miss them and thats just another appliance that tears up and has to repaired or replaced its a whole cheaper to buy a bottle of dish soap and be dont with it .

Because of having permanant nerve damage in one hand, tendonitus in the other and arthritis in my elbows I am not very good at hand washing dishes. But where we are staying at now, there is not a dishwasher. Therefore I was a few, then my hands get tired and I have to stop and do some more again later.

I prefer hand wash, because I have plenty of time at home, and I do not want to wait for so long to set everything alright. The water and other resources are also a concern. When my son got married, he was supposed to wash dishes. Therefore, he insisted to install a dish washer, but after several months, he gave up. When moving to their new home, they did not want to have the dish washer. They have a disinfecting cabinet.

I prefer using a dishwasher. After dinner the last thing I feel like doing is standing at the sink for an hour washing and drying dishes, I have so many other things to do, like help the kidlets with homework and bathtimes, and make lunches. For me, its so much easier just to pile it all in the dishwasher, turn it on and empty it in the morning.

It is CRAZY but i would pre wash my dishes load the dish washer, turn it on , and two hours later they came out dirtier then when I put them in. I hand wash right now cuz I want them clean but I heard that a Bosh dishwasher is the best and I am saving up to get a NEW ONE! If you have a dishwasher and it is not going to be in use for a week or more...add some viniger so you dont get mold or bugs in the small amount of water left in it. I am not upset about washing the dishes they have to be done. I tend to turn up the music and dance and sing around when I have to do chores...I have fun somewhat then! LOL thats a secret....dont tell!

Now that I have arthritis of the hips and knees I find washing dishes by hand painful but my dishwasher had been broken for two years now and hubby has not had time to fix it so wash by hand and take a break half way through most the time.

Hi mag_keizer, there are only three of us living under the same roof so we don’t have many dishes to wash after having meal. We always make this household task much simpler and easier by washing our used dishes respectively. We do our dish washing in this way as well after having family gathering or any festive celebration dinner at home. Sometimes my elder sister in law who is used to attend the occasion would like to help us to wash the dishes. We then put the clean dishes to air dry on the dishware rack. I did see dishwashers washing tableware using dish washer and dishwasher detergent, when passing by the big restaurant kitchen after having our breakfast during our vacation in a mountain resort. The electrical appliance made the tedious task of washing such a great amount of dishes to become convenient and simple. Happy posting and have a nice day!

Well, I have never use dish washer before, and I always wash my dishes with my hands. I am fine with washing the dishes, as I can make sure they are really clean and I feel more safe to wash them by myself, so that they will not be broken too.

I prefer to do my dishes in the dishwasher. I also wash them in the sink if I just have a few dishes to do. It is alot cheaper than running the dishwasher.

I have no choice but to wash by hand. We have no dishwasher. When we did have one though i wasn't always happy with the results. i think my dishes are cleaner when done by hand.

I use to put them in the dishwasher, but not all the dishes got cleaned. I had to separate the clean ones for the dirty ones and rewash the dirty ones. Now i just wash them all by hand. Sometimes it takes me more time but at least i know they have been perfectly clean.
