Even if you've never stolen, and don't ever want to, has there ever been a time in your life when you were almost overwhelmed with wanting to? I was once. We went to S. Dakota and visited Reptile Gardens. My hubby likes animals. I love rocks. Going through the exhibits, I was wanting those rocks so badly, I wanted to break the glass to get to them. Giant amethyst, geodes, agates, these rocks were boulder sized! And yet still obviously a geode, etc. I don't crave diamonds or riches, never have. But those rocks made me feel like stealing a helicopter and airlifting them out!! Now that's desperation, cause they had poisonous snakes and giant spiders in with them. I am a total arachnophobe. They terrify me. But those rocks made me consider stealing!

If your are going to steal something and do time for goodness sake make it something valuable.I know what you mean though to wish something so hard it leads you into tempatation but risking it with all creatures on them would put anyone off though. We went to the Eden project in Cornwall England it is an eco system under domes, one covered a rain forest and the other covered a medditerainean landscape absolutely wonder full and some of the little birds flying around in there were amazing my husband looked once or twice and put his hand back in his pocket,I said we are going back to a tent how on earth are you going to keep them alive and he just shrugged and looked like a little boy.I felt the same about the lovely little plants and all the colours and shapes of the sand and grass and rocks,i could happily go on forever. We walked aroung this amazing place all day looking at the rainforest plants, coco plants, nut,it was just great as was the Medd dome we walked out drunk with pleasure and my eight year old turned around and said "Is that it?" and walked off much to the amusement of the people we had walked around with,He was a hard child to impress.

But the rocks are valuable to me... Oooo, I'm gonna have to look up that ecodome. I've read about other types of going green, have to add that to my list. Now see what you've done! Another addiction! For shame.

i use to steal, but don't any more because of my boyfriend. he never like that i did and wanted me to brake the habit of doing. i eventually stopped doing just to get busted stealing. i was in a store looking sun glass and trying them on. i didn't even realize that i didn't pt them back and end walking out of the store with them on top of my head. when i realized that i still had then i went back to the store to return then just for the store owner to call the cops on me for stealing them. its not like i meant to. i tried to return them or at least pay for them, but the owner was being an *ss about it. ever since then i really try not to steal. just because you've never gotten busted before doesn't mean that you wont.

Exactly. The way I figure it, is Murphy's Law. Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong, at the worst possible moment. That means if I ever tried it, I would automatically get caught. Then also, it isn't honorable to take what's not yours. I wouldn't like someone to do that to me, so I don't do it to others.
