How often do you have to vacuum?

We're a family of six living in a three bedroom ranch style house with a full basement (in the process of remodeling). We don't have any pets (yet), and we take our shoes off as soon as we come in the house. Despite this, I still have to vacuum the carpets at least every other day (and sweep the hard floors daily). How often do you have to vacuum?

I'm lucky if we vacuum once a week. I'm so busy with work and kids that there are times when the house doesn't get cleaned. I do try and vacuum on a bit of a regular basis, but sometimes that job falls by the way side. I'm sure you probably know the same story since you have kids.

In my home, it's just my husband and I and our 7 month old son. I vacuum about once a week. But I sweep our kitchen, laundry room and bathroom at least every other day. I know I'm going to have to start vacuuming more often once our son gets more mobile. But he's not a steady crawler yet, so I haven't.

I know how you feel. We live in a two story home. There are 5 of us and a little dog. We always take our shoes off when entering the house too. We have hardwood kitchen floors which are a pain to keep looking clean. I sweep at least 4 times a day. After breakfast, lunch and dinner and then again before I go to bed so it looks nice the next morning. I vacuum at least every other day, if not every. I do vacuum our entrance way every day and many times in the evening too. It is our mud room, but still grosses me out when it gets little stones ect in there.

There is only two of us in our home. We have to vacuum about 1 time a week and sweep the kitchen and laundry more often. When our grandchildren are around running in and out of the house, it's vacuuming every day and sweeping the dirt out every day! They can really track it in after being on the 3 wheeler or 4 wheeler running through the woods, or playing basketball or practicing their soccer skills.

I have to vacuum every day. There are only two of us but we have 2 cats and a dog which leave fur all over and our house is in the process of being completely decorated so there is also a lot of dust about.
