hello everybody here at Mylot. i swear, this morning, right at 8 o'clock a.m., i had just went out to start the car to get it warmed up to go to work in, i leave for work at 8:10 a.m. so, i go out, start the car, come back inside, and i swear! if it isn't one thing it is ten. lol but anyways, when i came back inside, my ten year old son had done stopped up the toilet on me. so my dumb a** reached over and pulled down the knob to flush the toilet. oh my gosh! was that ever a big mistake! lol as the toilet was stopped up, the water over-flowed into the floor. what a big mess that i had to get cleaned up this morning, and i had ten minutes to get it done. grrr. lol so, i sopped up the water with a bunch of towels before i realized that that wasn't working too well. lol i ran and got my mop, threw all the wet stuff in the bathtub and i headed to work. lol now, i have to go in the bathroom here in a minute and deal with the wet towels and bathroom rugs that have been laying in the bathtub all day long. ewww. gross me out! so tell me, when was the last time that your toilet got stopped up? and also, did it run over onto the bathroom floor? thanks for sharing and have a beautiful afternoon.

Hello, I so know the feeling here, because 2 years back when we were up in Erie to get some stuff that we needed that would be cheaper there then here. But anyways our toilet has always had problems but we were not gone even 3 hours and when we got back the toilet overflowed on us to but our problem is that our bedroom is right next to the bathroom and there is no hallway between our bedroom or bathroom. Our bedroom also has carpet that is not even possible to dry up it needs to dry up on it's own. But anyways the water from the toilet overflowed into our bedroom and I had a box of books in our bedroom on the floor next to the door so those got ruined. Boy was I pissed so we told our landlord about it and of course the type of landlord he is, he did nothing about it. So every time when we use the bathroom we have to turn the water off each time after flushing, I mean come on that is waste of time when my hubby and I have children that needs to be looked after because they are just little children that are 2 years old and 8 months old. But yes I am in the same boat as you so don't feel bad. Happy Mylotting

Oh ****! There is not much that makes me madder than a dirty ole toilet spewing all its contents all over the rugs and floors. I have to use a whole roll of Viva towels and throw the rug out the door. Then I'm stuck sanitizing the mess with stinky old bleach. The chain gets stuck on our lower toilet, the one my husband uses. He flushes and woosh. Last time he was nice enough to help me. Not only does the chain stick, it is always plugging and my husband double flushes it. I am so sick of plunging toilets and cleaning up the mess. And I feel for you. It is so crummy when you have to get to a job and then you have a big mess on you mind all day. I don't think they make the toilets as well as the old ones. It could be the water saving idea.

Hehehe! That was sometime ago that a similar incident happened to me. I really freaked out when that happened! I was saved by my knight in shining armor, a.k.a hubby. Happy posting and enjoy the rest of the day.

The worst thing is a stopped up toilet, it's happend before and it was a huge mess. Cleaning the mess up is the worst, not only does that water smell but it's also a health hazard. We had to call the plumber to get the toilet fixed. Sometimes things like that can cost more than it is to use. Yes, it did run all over the bathroom floor, after awhile I thought there was a pool in my bathroom.

We had a problem like that too when we first moved into our new house. the guy who sold it to us hooked everything up wrong underneath and the toilet backed up in the pises and itno my shower and bathtub. It ran over into my floor onto the carpet. that was a nasty mess.

Some times in life it is bound to happen. that is the beauty of life. We are bound to get thee experience of life time once in a while But the most interesting thing is that we will notice it only when we have no time in our hand. This might have happened on your holiday or weekends but you would have not realized it because you have had ample time to think before you do your work but since it was your working day, you didn't remember that one thing and it was all mess up! It happens every now and then for me.

Ok, I'll share a secret with you but you can't tell the other 500,000 ppl on here! I once stopped up the (broken but noone told me) toilet AT WORK. It overflowed and made a mess so then I had to mop up and let me tell ya, it was not pleasant. I am so paranoid now that I hold my breath and watch every time I flush just to make sure it's not rising past the normal point. Gross.... I feel for ya! I spent the entire christmas vaca doint puke laundry and cleaning vomit out of my carpet!

I have a five year old, so dealing with a stopped toilet seems to be a regular occurrence around here. I think she does it deliberately to taunt me, but since I can't prove it... But so far I have been very lucky in not having it overflow. It just flows to the top and then very slowly drains back down again. I have dealt with the sea of you know what though other places, and that is no fun at all! :) Bleach and a mask work wonders if you have them.

Laat year both our toilets kept having problems...they were old so we got new toilets that use 1.6 gallons of water and air to flush...lol when you flush it scares the poop out of ya...lol sorry but i know the whole towel sceen from it...wash em twice on hot thats what i do...I know what is it about boys and clogging the toilet...I noticed when the boys are around we go through TP really fast ...They use too much and then it stops the toilety....oye vay!!!!!

the toilets at church are older from 50's or 60's the flusher valves have been reduced to save water. these toilets must be flush wile doing business if you mis-calculate how much you have in the toilet under you, you and your suit and the floor will all be in the same condition WET! and if you are surprised enough your scream will be heard in the organ loft at the other end of the building. You also can get wet if the person before yous business did not clear the trap. You do not know until you flush.

My youngest son just stopped ours up the other day. he had been sick so I was dealing with cleaning up all of his messes and he made another before I could even get those done. It was crazy but I knew he couldn't help it.

When I have a tight time table, while things do not go as I planned I will feel crazy. If things like you meet in the morning happened, i will turn down the switch at first, and try to limit the water to flood my rom, then call someont to do the clean for me. After that I will go to work. No matter how things run in my house, I will do it after my work. Maybe after I go back, I will find I have to live in a swimming pool.

Oh.... my...!!! I cant imagine if i will have my interview during the day and in the morning before go to the interview, i must face such things happen in the house. Its really crazy and i bet you must be say bad words while cleaning those things. ahaha joke!. All i can say, it must be your bad day. Did u have a dream about water and dirty things during the night? Hehe. im joking again. There's no such things happen just based on the dream. Its crazy if i say, its ok for me if its happen to me. Woah.. but you're great because you already clean the mess... Do you contact the agen that usually manage the comfort room? it must be over loaded. You better ask them and repair if there;s something goes on. I actually have the same experience with toilet. It was school toilet. I was shock, i dont know what i should do with it. I look around... Nobody;s around. OK!!! BETTER RUN!!! Its embarrassing if people found out that the toilet like that because of me. Few hours after, i saw there a janitor cleaning the toilet. Woah... thanks. Im sorry, i run... Next time i should be careful... or maybe.. RUN AGAIN!!!

The last time my toilet stopped up and actually over flowed I had only two towels in my apartment. It was just to much to mop up and I had to use the towels to soak up the water My husband wanted to take a shower but we didn't have any more towels he asked me if I wanted to just buy some more, I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to shop so after cleaning up the mess I just went to store and bought a whole new bathroom suit.
