what did you hate/love about your baby shower

Are you throwing your own baby shower?
My family threw my baby shower. It is usually something that others do for you. I loved that all my family was together to celebrate me having a baby. There was really nothing I hated about it. Even the silly games that we played were fun. I don't think that anything can be wrong with any type of baby shower given.

my mom, sister and fiance are throwing it for me. i'm just telling them what kind a food, games, favors i want but i'm not paying for anything they are :)

If it is cold outside it is nice to have butterbits filled with chicken or egg salad along with chili or soup. If it is warm outside you can go with the same little sandwiches with fruit and salad.
Games are hard. We just searched online and found some that looked fun. For the prizes for the games we gave things like candles, lotions, things that would be used and not thrown away or tossed asside. For favors we chose some type of baking utensil that would be used also, like a mini spatula server with a ribbon tied around it, or a frosting spreader with a ribbon tied around it. Things like this are nice to give and get because it is more practical than a bag of mints tied up in netting. It is something that everytime they use it they will think of you.

It's going to be in Febuary. I thought about doing it outside because we have the deck space. but i think the weather might be a little chilly. I have games that i want to play. I might do a raffle for a real nice basket or buy individual prices. My mom thought about mini potpurri bags for the favors.
