I have been putting off writing an ebook or two because I sit down and then nothing happens. I am sure once I got started the content would start to flow from my mind but it's getting started that's causing the problems.
Do you write?
What tips would you give me so that I can get started right away?

I do write and I think the best thing for me to do to get my juices flowing is to get me a big glass of tea a snack and then sit at my desk with some blank paper and a pencil. I then start to just write anyhting that comes out of my mind and when I see what I have talked about most I take that and break it down into categories and add supporting information. After I do all that it just flows freely to the paper. I am serious it may sound like a hassle but I write for 30 minutes befor bed every single night just to basically clear my head. I don't think about what I am writing or make sure that it has punctuation it's just mearly a type of brainstorming. It's fun and trust me it will help but don't turn away from it if you aren't successful right away give it a week or two and see what you can come up with. good luck!

Sometimes it helps to just sit with a notebook and pen and begin writing words, or even just making circles on the paper, you know like we used to do when we started learning cursive writing. Don't think. Just let you hand do it's thing. You'll be surprised what gets put on the paper. Then you can tweak it and work it up into something legible.
Another thing is sit at the computer with your word processor open and put down thoughts on the subject that you want to write on. Don't try to organize them at first. Even if it's just one word, type it. Sometimes when I do this the thoughts start flowing in a coherent manner. Then I can go back and delet all the rambling and rattling at the top.

Writing has always been my hobby. When my grandson was with us, I could write a lot from what I see and how I feel every day, but I failed to keep diary after he left for their own home.
I believe writing is more than an assignment or errand, which one can fulfil with will power, either for money or for interest. It is something like a mission you just cannot hold back with love when urged by what you experience or what you observe.
