Do you like making books?

Making books has been part of my regular "creative" routine for about five years. I started out using very archaic methods, but they worked reasonably well for a beginner. Since then, I've been learning new stitching and binding methods. I love making books with my kids, writing about how to make books, making books for gifts, and making books to sell. I don't know why, but I never seem to make books for myself. Is that weird? Do you like making books?

How did you get started making books? It sounds interesting and i had thought about learning. Also where can you learn to bind books?

I looked at sites like suite101.com, ehow.com, creativeportal.com and sites like that for "how to" instructions. Then, I looked at other book artist's websites by doing a handmade book or book arts search. One of my favorites is lookatbook.com - I was so inspired when I saw their efforts. There are also some great books at the library or bookstore about how to do this. I suggest hitting the craft section, and letting your fingers do the walking. It's so much fun!
