Well I love to hear songs only in my head set without disturbing others. I don't like to listen to songs in a big home theater with digital sound effects.By hearing songs from my head set I can feel the lyric of the song and I can get even relaxed too. What is your opinion? Happy mylotting

listening to music has always been that way, my friend, until these headsets were introduced. you find it irritating to the ears when you use the headgear because, you have ears which are sensitive to vibrations. i do not know anymore the figure but, vibrations due to music is manifold over that of regular conversation. the more the music vibrates, the better it is to listen to. although i love to hear my music through the headset, i have to let go of the habit. i have noticed that i have been experiencing some damage already. once i learned that it was due to the headset use, i just have to let go of the instrument. so that makes two of us who listens to music the classic way. there are plenty of us who are doing it this way, my friend.

Hello friend, I think I not just only for head set, sometime the phone ring also make me like this, and the sound system's volume if turn a little high, I also can feel it, for example the volume can turn 360 degree, and if I turn it to 45 degree, then I will start feel my ear not comfortable, are my ear too sensitive?

i used to listen to music via the headset, too. everything comes in crystal clear. so good, so nice that way. however, when i learned that no matter how low the volume, listening to music using the headset will cause ear damage due to the reaction to vibrations, i have already stopped doing so. yes, it is true that i have been experiencing the effects of ear damage since some years back but, i never knew that i got it from using the headset. all i knew then was that it was so much easier to sing along when i am using that headgear stuff. so by now, i no longer use the headset. i am content hearing music played on the air. not much flair. it is enough that the music is played as background as i do something at the computer.

I prefer listening to music externally.... using quality electronics such as NAD and loudspeakers like Paradigm. I feel the main benefit of using a sound system is the the ability to experience an actual soundstage ... not possible with headphones. With a good quality sound system, it is possible to come closer to experiencing the attributes of a "live performance" ....which is the objective of serious audiophiles. But,I agree that headphones are necessary when privacy is an issue.

I prefer to listen to music with a wireless headset, in addition to not disturb the others can also move freely. If using a wire headset, movement limited to the length of cable.

Interesting question. I find that I prefer a headset. The music is close, personal, and if I move rooms I can easily take it with me. I don't mind a big sound system on occasion, but I generally prefer the headsets.

i would prefer to listen to music in a big sound system because i think the sound sounds better that way than hearing it from a headset. hearing music from a big sound system gives me the feeling to dance to the beat.
