WARNING - Very, Very, Very, Urgent, Obama's Acceptance Speech

I do not post warnings unless I have checked them out. Please read the snopes link as it gives other examples of how this virus can infect your computer. Have any of your heard of this virus? THERE IS AN EMAIL WITH SUBJECT LINE OBAMA ACCEPTANCE SPEECH FLOATING AROUND WITH A TROJAN HORSE ATTACHMENT. DO NOT OPEN FOR ANY REASON!!! DELETE IMMEDIATELY. THE TROJAN STEALS ALL PASSWORDS AND USER IDS!!! SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE ON YOUR EMAIL LIST. http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/obamaspeech.asp

Thanks for that Heather, I don't usually look at e-mails like this, I use Mailwasher to sort out my e-mails by both Black & white Lists, so hopefully I wouldn't even see this e-mail.

Thanks so much whiteheather, it's so unusual to find something up to date. I've sent the warning to family and friends online...hopefully we can save someone some trouble.

I do not open any mail unless I have subscribed to that list or I know that person. I will keep an eye out for it, and make sure I delete it.

Hi Whiteheather, Thanks for the link to your discussion as we both have different sets on our friends list is is great that so many have now been warned. I didn't spot this when I searched so apologies. Like you it is something I don't usually post but posted as soon as I received to help prevent others from opening. Huggles. Ellie :D

glad I dont open any mail that has he name obama in it lol or anyother mail if I get anything about them it is thru one of my news programs SOME PEOPLE! have nothing better to do grrr

Thank you SO MUCH for this warning! This is the first I've heard of it and I just may have been stupid enough to open it since I do get e-mails from Obama and the transition team. I'll definitely pass it on to everyone I know. Annie
