Hi mylotters, I had this sheet of paper with me for a while and would like to share it with you and tell me which one are you? Aggressive People: - express feelings and opinions in a way which threaten others. They want to get their own way- no matter what! Being aggressive means you try to get what you want no matter what the consequences are for others. (2) Using Loud voices (3) involves threatening people. (4) Uses the words as "You'd better...", "If you don't...", (5) Usually insults or offend other people. PASSIVE PEOPLE Hope to get what they want but leave things to chance or to others. Passive people often hope to get what they want but do nothin about it themselves. Whine about things. Are not honest with their feelings. Wait and expect others to know what they want. Uses the words "Maybe you...", "I guess..". When we are passive we often diminish our own worth. ASSERTIVE PEOPLE: Being assertive means to tell someone what you want in such a way that you don't infringe their rights or dignity. It means standing up for your own rights without violating the rights of others. Assertive people ask for what they want, Uses a calm and controlled voice. Are direct and open. Ask confidently. They use expression such as " I would like...", "I think..." So mylotters, which one are you?

I'm a passive-assertive kind of person and hardly find myself aggressive unless when it comes to department store sales. LOL

I'd say I'm a little bit of both. I like to be humble and nice and hope for the best. If I'm put into a situation where I feel that I'm being taken advantage of or where someone is being disrespectful, I will let them know in a way without violating their rights.

I would have to say I am passive, assertive people are more in their own zone, they don't care at that point about others feelings, but stay within the law, as a passive person, I respect more of everyone's opinion.

Generally I'm the assertive type. Although I can be calculatingly aggressive when I feel the situation warrants it. It's not my preferred method but sometimes in an urgent situation that's the only way you can get someone elses attention!

Maybe a little bit of both passive and assertive, there are times when I am more passive and I get hopeful. Other times I can be assertive. To me I think it's good to be a little bit of both, as for aggressive, I'm not. I find that people who are too aggressive are selfish, because they are hurting people to get what they want, that to me is wrong. So I will stay with the passive/assertive. To me that makes more sense, but if I'm to be one more than the other then I say passive.
