phantom hourglass question

so i've been playing this for a bit and i'm pretty far in the game so what i want to know is do i have to fight jolene after i take the three rare metals to zauz to forge. is it necessary to beat the game?

I don't think you have to beat her to beat the game, just watch out for her and try to avoid her...
