funny and weird cricket incidences

hi friends.i recently watched a maatch between australia and sri lanka.here how it happened.the striker hits the ball towards mid off and starts running and the mid off fielder collects the ball and throws at the non strikers end.the ball hits the stumps but the batsman was safe.the ball after deflecting from the stumps runs towards the boundary and the batsmen starts running for the over throw.the fielder at the boundary dives and tries to save the ball from reaching the boundary.he collects the ball and throws to the wicket keeper who broke the stumps.replays shows that the batsman is short .he starts walking to the pavilion when the other batsmen asks the umpire to check whether the ball reached the fence or not.it was found that the ball did touch the ropes and so the batsman was given not out.so any of u witnessed any similar weird cricket incidences?

I have seen symonds scoring 8 runs from one ball against New-Zealand. Symonds hit a ball from Obrien to midwicket.Due to wet conditions the ball did not cross the boundary line. MaCullum felt that he had a chance to run out symmonds, & threw hard for 4 overthrows. This was the first time thet 8 rums were everscored in a single ball of test cricket.
