What's your favorite sardines brand?

One of our favorite breakfast these days is sauteed sardines, 555 sardines in tomato sauce. I just sautee it with onion and pair it with fried eggs and coffee on breakfast. We don't have so much choice as I really don't have any idea. I'm so full of hotdogs and bacons and my husband doesn't like to eat leftovers on breakfast. We also don't like pancakes and breads for breakfast. We are rice people, meaning, we can't live or pass a meal without rice. Will you give me some ideas on what to eat for breakfast, some other meals that can be paired with rice?

My kids don't eat too much of sardines but I heard that sardines are healthy for the body because of the tomato sauce and the fish of course. But only moderately eating is enough because I remember that when I was a kid, one of my neighbors always eat sardines for meal with the kids, and the kids' skins are not that good. I have an impression that too much fish makes the skin itchy. I just don't know if it's true.

Yes, I remember that brand, my brothers and sisters in law prefer that brand. I haven't tried it yet. I'll tell my husband when we get to the supermarket. We also eat dried fish and cured fish, I don't know if it's the right term for "tinapa" however I'm trying not to serve so much of the salty food because my husband is afraid of high blood pressure. He's not sick but he's too afraid of that because that's the family disease. He even tries to drink pills to control blood pressure even if it's not that recommended by doctors.

LOL. Knowing that fresh fish even this side of the country is too high because of the weather condition, sardines would be of a great option, I think I would go for mega mari, it can topple down the 555 lol, I love it when added with behon and spicy one is great for me. We do milk and eggs in the morning and sardines would be a great way to start the day too. Note: I am really smiling answering this discussion, lol. Good one !

Hi, I also like that one with the bihon, the white crisp noodle and a cheap but satisfying meal too.

My favorite is 555 Hot and Spicy Spanish Style Sardines. Anytime is a perfect time to eat it with rice, of course. And it makes me forget that I'm on a diet. I just make sure that I brush my teeth and gargle mouthwash right after eating. Laughing out loud!

I totally agree, mouth stinks after eating sardines but who cares, hehe. There were times when we also liked to eat eating Spanish Style Sardines, those types which are in bottles. I remember my favorite brand as Marisco but they got too expensive these days.
