No, I'm not happy, and I think the theme is ridiculous. I think it will turn out to be the most preposterous, indulgent inaugeration ever.

I'm still at a loss to the whole lincoln-Obama connection too. Other than being presidents from Illinois, whats the connection?

*shrug* I would think he would at least use a person who championed for racial equality, not a former racists president. Just seems kinda ironic to me.

Well what exactly is our "new freedom" we are getting? How about freedom from lobbyist and speical interest groups? Freedom from wasteful spending, earmarks and pork in congress? How about the freedom of having a less intrusive government that lets me keep more of my money and lets me decide what I want to do with it? Freedom from a government that seems to think I am responsible for taking care of everyone else in this country? Or freedom from the patriot act? Am I getting any of those freedoms? What freedoms are we getting? Can anyone tell me?

I'm happy the elections are finaly over and will be even happier when the inauguration is over and we can get back to the business of running the country. I see a lot of this sentiment being expressed through out the world at the results of the elections here. People make the claim that the united state's elections effect the world. So tell me, what is it you think specificly that Obama will do that will benefit your country ? He is president of the United states, not president of Nigeria. This is a genuine question, I'm not being sarcastic or snide.
