One is only defeated if one doesn't learn from the experience. Take for example, not getting the job that you want. You may assume that you are defeated but actually there is another and better job in store for you. I believe that things happens for a reason and we ought to learn from every situation. Defeat is when we don't learn and then becomes weak. Not getting everything that we want will make us appreciate more the things that we get and the 'success' that we will have. Anything worthwhile doesn't come easily.

Sometimes, it is not true. There are instances where you really want to get up but you simply can't and that is still defeat. But for me, life is not a matter of becoming victorious or a being loser. It's more on how you played the game. Knowing that you did your best to achieve a thing without stepping on anybody will still make you a winner even if you are defeated. And the best part is when you accept defeat gracefully that the spectators will take their hats off as you leave center stage.

It is true. Defeats are normal in our life but we should learn from our mistakes. Actually defeats can only lead us to success. Defeats will give a chance to think about our draw backs and accordingly we can improve. It will be possible only when we are ready to analyze our faults. I studied a lesson when I was in school about a King who defeated many times in a war and once he observed a spider, it was making the web and jumping one side to the other and falling frequently but it never give up and finally reached the goal, after watching the same the King again went for the war finally he won.
