I was just sitting here and my right palm started to itch . It made me think of superstitions that my grandma used to talk about . She would tell us that if one of your palms itched it meant you were going to recieve money and if the other palm itched you were going to give money away. I can't remember which palm is which, but their was a catch, in order to recieve money , you had to scratch you itchy palm on something wooden. I guess this could be where the phrase, "In one hand and out the other", was coined . Do you have any superstitions you believe ? Share your insight and opinions on Superstitions. Cheryl

When I was very young, my friends and I played around with many superstitions. Now, however, I can't think of any I take the least bit seriously. They can be sort of fun, though. My palms often itch as a reaction to a medication. How I wish I could expect money for it!

The more you start to believe in them , the more dependent you become on them. Over a period of time opportunities will come and go and you will leave them based on superstition. Also you tend to get a laid back attitude based on these. I would not like to be led by them.

I'm not superstitious but find them interesting. One my mom used to tell me was that if your nose itched you were going to either have a fight or kiss a fool.
