Body precising - ART?

I have never been able to approve body precising and it does not appeal to me in any sense. Some say it is a new era art and looks cool but I will keep myself away from it for ever. What do you think about body precising?

I too don't approve it. I believe it is on the individual to decide whether it is good of his on being or not.

Hi there coolmailraj. I think what you are trying to tell is body piercing. Well, there are a lot of people do not like it and there are also those who love it. As for me, I have not a single piercing in me. Its just that I am not in with such idea on my body. I am not saying that such is not good. It actually depends on the person right? I just consider it not for me.

I am old now, known of that stuff appeals to me, and I do not see it as art, more like graffiti, and I don't like it.

I think it is up to the induvidual as th eperson they are or wish to be. If they think this will help them be or show what they are as a symbol of themself then so be it. Some do it as a decoration that tells a story of their life, whatever the reason it is up to that person. I have periced ears, no other place at this point in time.

I do not really think much of it myself and only have my ears pierced, but a lot of the young ones now seem really into it a lot. My second eldest daughter has her ears, nose, tongue, eyebow and belly button pierced, much to my disliking, but what can I say now, as shes an adult.

I didn't even want to get my ears pierced when I was a kid. My elderly neighbor lady wanted to pay for it for me as a birthday present when I was 10 years old, so my mom said it wouldn't be right for me to refuse. In the back of my mind, I sometimes wonder if it wasn't my mom that really wanted me to get my ears pierced. I wear earrings on occasion, but not too often. So you can imagine what I think about body piercings. A quick note on this, in Russia this winter they gave a warning that piercings may cause an infection because of the cold temperatures. So I guess that is something else you have to worry about when you have something pierced.

I don't mind it that much. Some of it is gross in my opinion though. I have had my belly button pierced before but had to remove it when I got pregnant and kept it out since then. I don't mind small nose rings or small eyebrow piercings but I don't like the big ones that stretch the skin. I also don't like tongue rings or piercings all over the face. I do think it's art and a wy of expressing one's self. I love all types of art. Style is art and piercings are a part of style. I just chose not to participate in it for myself. I don't see anything wrong with others doing it though. To me it's the same as having a tattoo, I have many tattoo's, so who am I to judge others

Some of it is really cool but I'm not into poking wholes in my body. I have 4 holes in my ears that's enough.

Body piercing is not attractive to me. The piercings take the focus off the girl. That's why so many girls with low self esteem have body piercings. Body piercings don't beautify the girl. I don't even notice a girl with earrings. Do men find jewelry attractive? I never heard one man make this claim. A lot of men have body piercings now and that is even worse. Piercings don't make them look tough - it makes them look like idiots.
