In a way the computer has replaced the teacher. One can a degree on line with out ever leaving their homes. One can go to the library without leaving their homes. One can see the teachers without leaving their homes. So yes I believe the computer will replace the teacher in a way one of these days.

Yes, you are right some day computers will replace humans.I was teaching my son his English book and there was a story - i.e science fiction, exactly on the same topic how after a centuary, there would not be any school or teachers, only computers will be there to teach.

My son is enrolled in online/homeschool and he has live learning classes where there are actual real people teaching these classes (one 1 hour class per day.) He has tutors that help him get through things if he needs it. There are alot of things he does on his own with alot of the programs on the school site and some stuff I help him with. Can a computer replace a teacher? Most likely in the near future there will be better programs online that help a child learn quicker/easier. So, yes....eventually I think computers could repolace teachers (not completely, someone will still need to test the kids and keep school records for the testing for the schools) My son has been doing the online school thing for 5 months after having alot of problems in the public school system and it's the best thing that could have ever happened to him, his grades, learning levels and his all around well being has risen more than I could have ever imagined.

computers are great learning tools, but i don't think they can ever completely replace teachers. a good teacher not all teaches, but also shares in the knowledge and experiences that they've gained in life. also a computer can't interact emotionally with the students the way a living breathing teacher could. ..............oh yeah......a computer can't give you a hug when you fall off the swing and skin your knee.

Hello my friend riyasam Ji, I am absolutely clear in my mind taht this would never happen, taht computer replacing teacher. Computer depends upon available datas insude its system, some one has to make those dats available in the computer. Teachers job is over at that stage. Teacher will act in invisible form. Also, we may get some helpful solutions from computer, when we want some medical solutions, but it won't replace visiting Doctors. Computer may help us to resolve our problem on daily basis , but basic concept would never leave our life. may god bless you and have a great time.

I think that computers have more knowledge then a teacher would have. Computers are more fun to be around, and i think have more compassion then teachers are capable of. I really do not like teachers that i had when growing up nor did i like many of the teachers my children have had.

Hello my friend riyasam Ji, and TheGateKeeper Ji, So nice of you for grading me. I would like to express that teaching starts from the birth, where motehr becomes solely Nursary teacher. For learning anything, presence of all senses plays an important roll. So in case of computer learning, some very important aspect is missing. Let's consider that as well. May God bless you and have a great time.

computers have already replaced many teachers, they are programmed to give the same instruction and in the higher levels, they teach the lessons,

I donot think so, Riya. The role real teachers is irreplaceable. Even the computer programmings require human intervention. The importance of human touch cannot be replaced ever. The robotic hands of a computerised nurse can massage you perfectly but can it give the warmth and empathy that a real nurse would! I don't think so.

I think the computer cannot totally replace a teacher. There are things that the teacher can do while the computer cannot. Fact is, the computer does not have emotions and cannot understand feelings. In educating someone, one aspect that has to be considered are those. Teaching is a passion, it is an art, only the a teacher can do that.

Hi riyasam. No, I think that a computer cannot replace a teacher never. To teach, really teach a person you need to feel if he/she is learning. In a classroom we have many people and each one have his own time so the teacher need to feel if and who is staying behind the others. I don't think that a computer can do this. Nothing can replace a human for some things. Does computer can teach responsibility or honesty or integrity? I don't think so. Have a nice day.

I don't think that a computer can totally substitute a human teacher because its just a machine and very much prone to error (technical/mechanical, I mean). Although nobody's perfect as a human being but being a teacher, you simply just can't afford to be wrong--never in front of your students. We have our limitations as mentors and it's never been wrong to admit them in front of your students, but it's far better than pretending to teach them something you are not sure of.

Computers are great teaching tools. Many students learn faster when they have access to computers. But a computer can never really replace a human teacher, at least in the near future. For a computer to replace a teacher it needs to have what a true teacher normally has. Currently the best AI program ha no real fuzzy logic, the way humans think. They cannot understand emotions, cannot recognise a dyslexic, and many other things that they cannot perform well in. They are not really interactive. In short it will take many years before a computer can start replacing many roles of a teacher. all the best, rosdimy

For elementary school can not be replaced by a computer, because there is still need to feel involved in teaching. And necessary interaction between students and teachers as human being. Maybe our children will be like a robot if taught by a computer.

I think they can be a rather powerfull instrument in teaching, especially when it comes to rehearsing things students need to learn. Digitalizing this literature or sums, or whatever it may be, can add a new dimension. Also, the computer can give praise and correct them just like a teacher. The big difference is that a computer will not be able to read or see what you did to get to the answer. You might have a big theory about how to solve a sum and it's not allways correct, but it won't show you the right way. Some software for little children doesn't involve (a lot) of praise which is neccessairy to keep them motivated, and so on. Teachers can never be replaced as there are several things that need deaper looking into, and the social band an connection is also never there; which might be the most important of all as we do not only educate children in our classroom; we socialize them and play an important part in their upbringing. A computer is not and will never be able to parent and give loving care and attention.

I think computer cannot replace a teacher. This is because computer have no emotion teacher can can scold us when we doing wrong. That why it need teacher to understand the student. Maybe they also can when the computer turn or made it cyborg so it look like a real human. So we just need to program it to teach very well. The scary is when the computer is broken down, student still need to find teacher.

Computers can't replace teachers. There are things teachers can do that a computer can't. Computers can only be a great tool for teachers to help kids learn.

Yes! I personally think that it could happen when fifth or sixth generation computers are on there limit or when the robots having the high level of artificial intelligence are came in the day to day life.It will take some time but it will..... As in the present day we learn more on Internet than in class room.As each and every thing according to the interest of a person is available. So the moral of the story is Yes one day teachers could be replaced by computers..... but not for the children below 5. Have a nice day
