Do your dogs like to ride and travel with you?

I took a trip to visit family and my dogs loved it. They know when I pack they get to go and they were trying so hard to get to the truck that they were jerking their leash's and my arms lol They love to go but are also happy to get back home. How are your animals when it comes to traveling?

Our dog loves to go places, he even likes to go to the vet. 
He has the type of leash that you can just open up and put around his neck when he gets to go on short trips around here and when you pick that up he knows he get to go and will come over and put his head in. Personally I think he goes too many places, he has stayed home alone just 3 times in the almost 2 yrs. we have had him. When I go to visit my daughter he has to go with me for my 2 or 3 week visit. He loves it because she has two dogs. He is a great traveler also, the trip to my daughter's is 300 miles.

That is so cute lol and your dog does well on long trips wow! My dogs love to travel on long trips. I just had them at my family's house for 4 days lol they get spoiled and get lots of treats lol and they love the attention.

Our dog loves to follow us wherever go. There was only one time we had to leave him at home, and by the time we cam back, he was so desparate that he ran to us and started to climb on us all. It was so moving, seemed like he was complaining of crying for not taking him with us. So, it gave us a clue that it was not a great idea to leave him alone any time.

Hi Ashjoe, I made the mistake of taking my dogs for frenchfries at Mcdonalds. Now they know what Mcdonalds looks like, they see the arch's and they start getting excited. I would have expected them to be happy about burgers but they became crazy over fries. If you say frenchfries around them, they will start jumping up and down and wagging those tails...lol1 person likes this

None of my pets like to ride anywhere so I generally don't take them anywhere. My parents have a dog that loves to ride in my dad's truck and she is always trying to get in to go for a ride with him. It's very cute!

Mine love the riding so much, that if they could apply for a license and get it, they would leave home without me lol! They like being perched up where they can see, and they would be headed for Mcdonalds, if they could lol

When I had my dog he loved to travel..especially when we went home to grandpa and grandmas! LOL...my parents spoiled him so bad! My dad was the one who actually taught him most of the trick he could do like speaking because he used hotdogs to get him to respond.

My dogs know which family members give treats and who to luv up too. They are very smart lol They are hams for all the attention too!

My Baby loves to go with us but after a day out, she gets so tired that she sleeps all day long the next day, it really wears her out.. But she is always game to go again.. We can ask her if she wants to go riding and she heads straight for the door..

That is adorable. What kind of dog, do you have? Mine will jump in the truck quick and are always happy to ride. The chihuahua has to sit where he can see all the cars and all the people.Appreciate the response.1 person likes this

We bought and paid for a Shi Tzu but we got one that had more of a terrier mix than anything.. By the time we figured that she wasn't what we had paid for, we were so in love with her we didn't do anything about it.. Chihuahua's are such cute dogs, my sister had 1 and that 1 gave birth to 5 more, so now she is the proud owner of 6 of them.. They are a yapping bunch, but so adorable..

Our dog loves to be in the car! He travels well except that he has grown so big that the kids don't want to have him in the car anymore. There's just not a lot of room. He only gets in the car now when it's time for shots or he needs to be boarded. But because he loves the car, even if he knows he's going to the vet or the kennel, he happily jumps in. I think dogs are eternal optimists! "Maybe she's taking me to a park or something!"hehe

My dogs want frenchfries lol they now know that evrytime we pull through at Mcdonalds, or fastfood, they always get fries lol so they keep their eyes out for the golden archs lol
